eeeeeeeeeh i'll stick to bodygroups just to be safe. the range of customisation will be wide enough anyway, and i'll make additional decoration props (purity seals, aquilas, gear like grenades and holsters, certain Chapter-specific stuff like the clawed wing Emperor's Children wear, etc) available too

For example, it'll make for some more custom colors - you could have shoulderpads and helmet have one skin, and the body - another, so with literally zero additional skingroups for the model itself, you'll have sergants, vets, various decorated troops.

they'll have joints, handling ragdolls that small could be troublesome [editline]11th May 2014[/editline]
you could have shoulderpads and helmet have one skin, and the body - another, so with literally zero additional skingroups for the model itself, you'll have sergants, vets, various decorated troops.
eh i'm not sure if i understand the way i see it is that if someone wants to have sergeants or veterans, they can just make a hexed reskin of the model i'll consider using the joint/bone/whatevermerge tool for certain things. Dark Angels have those wing and feather decorations on their officer helmets for example, there's the aforementioned Emps Children logo, and i think i should make the monk robes a separate joint/bone/whatevermergeable prop with bodygroups for hood/no hood etc. decoration stuff basically
update on the troopers, they now have packs [t]http://i.imgur.com/ULkP7ul.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/96oUnwe.png[/t]
fucking awesome did you model the gravchutes yourself? [editline]11th May 2014[/editline] no wait are those from Halo or something? [editline]11th May 2014[/editline] also post that shit in the main 40k thread in Games pronto
I think those jetpacks may come from NS2. Looking damn excellent, regardless.
yea the gravshutes are edited from NS2 to resemble the Elyisan gravshutes
How close is that guy to release? Because I'm all but drooling with anticipation.
the model by itself is done, i don't know how to do ragdolls for source, so ill have to ask around once again..... :/
How close is that guy to release? Because I'm all but drooling with anticipation.
It's done when it's done. That's the only motto you can live by around these parts.
Sifting through the thread, I figured the WIP Elysian you posted earlier could make for a pretty decent stormtrooper. This is the guy I'm talking about: EDIT: maybe if he had a little more armor and the big backpack.
In regards to the Elysian's, are there plans of maybe throwing in some more gear variations around their hips on their belts? Canteen, bayonet, maybe a large pouch for extra "mags", that sort of thing?
EDIT: maybe if he had a little more armor and the big backpack.
you mean a lot more armor i'm quite fond of the Tempestus Scions, we should try to make those too. the armor and helmets shouldn't be difficult to make

Yeah, all those suits from the top pic are in the game, including the librarian's armor, just not the head.
that sounds like a good idea. ill look into adding some
Some examples of what I mean, just to give you an idea of course: How you want it set up is up to your own discretion of course though
You techpriests are scary when you get hyped up. It's all binarycant this and omnisiah that.
Emperor's teeth, i've completely forgotten about Scouts. i need to get some of that shit going at some point too. probably have to ask the 40k thread if they have any idea how pre-Heresy Scouts looked
Emperor's teeth, i've completely forgotten about Scouts. i need to get some of that shit going at some point too. probably have to ask the 40k thread if they have any idea how pre-Heresy Scouts looked
I don't believe they saw battle pre heresy. The scouting squads were just space marines with sniper rifles, called Recon squads aptly. Essentially full power armour mk 4 with camo cloaks.
there's an old pic of World Eaters scout marines in the Horus Heresy artbook though i'll see if i can come up with some sort of more archaic-looking Scout Armor design. it shouldn't be hard. and after i have that done i can use some of the parts in modern Scout Marines i gave the MK3 marine a third helmet option btw

yeah no, the helmet in that pic looks like a Grey Knight one and the armor is most likely mastercrafted MK7 [editline]12th May 2014[/editline] this thread needs more DAKKA AKA Crusade/Heresy era Heavy Bolter
Can't wait for the release of the titans. Joazzz Hopefully if i can get enough warhammer models, and get somebody to make some goddamn rigs for them. I can make a cinematic battle in SFM. WARHAMMER 40k STYLE. Also i wanted to do this to show Games workshop that their fans can do better than the idiots that made Ultramarines the movie. Here is an example of my battle making skills https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPwrGx60kHY&hd=1 That video is also part of my SFM series project.
By the Emperor, that was awesome. :S

added some extra kit items, but i cant find a good bayonet sheath
absolutely beautiful cheesecurls

Is that face grill from the Iron helm in SM or a custom model? Either way, it looks sweet. Can't wait for this pack to be finished. :3
there was no Iron helm in SM
there was no Iron helm in SM
Actually there was, but it wasn't called an MK3 Iron helm. It also looked a little different in some areas, but it is pretty much an iron helm. Has the face grill and everything. Just looks a bit more modernized, I suppose. It doesn't look like it came from the time of the Great Crusade, like yours. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/IREou.jpg[/thumb]
