not a bad-looking Scout you've got there
the Devastator ammo pack looks... a little oversized tho
Went to do the Commissar and found they actually had Grenadier armor in the files so I did them instead.

They also have proper filterpacks on their backs so I plan to add that to the Guardsman model.
the DoW shoulder pads could use some more polygons
@Turkey: Those bolters look a bit too slim...
it's probably the ancient CSS replacement model
it's probably the ancient CSS replacement model
Yup, also some of the models have DOW2 quality, but I plan on working on them slowly until they are to an above standard quality model.
i actually once replaced the AR2 with the Space Marine game bolter, both first and third person (the first person animations i got from some Gamebanana download)

pretty sure the ultra smurfs are the only one to use roman crests; romans being their thing and all.

I have a question. What method did you use to attach the bolters to their hands? The Space Marines in the first release don't have any attachment points, so I can't bone merge a bolter to their hands. Any way around this?

Lol, those are actually NPC's holding bolter sweps.

crests were all the rage during the Crusade, but after the Heresy someone probably decided that they weren't hip anymore
been feeling very unmotivated lately. after i'm done with this entrance exam stuff and the Sonisphere fest i'll be picking up the speed again (next week)

You can extract dow 2 models though
Hi guys!
I wanna show you something that I've made in SFM for this thread but when I put the link of the picture in the [img] thingy and preview the post, the picture is not showing and is just a lil' window with a blacj square in it and white cross in this square.
In the name of the Emperor, halp? :c

Joazzz, I am now under your command to get my picture in here here :D
Thanks again to put my pic here, and I was using the [img] and [img_thumb] like an idiot. Didn't thought about the [t] x)
And here is what I wrote for the desc. of this pic for those who don't gonna click da pic :
"Our Faith for our God-Emperor guides us to victory. Wherever His Light go, we follow it and wherever it stop, we bring Death.
His Light is the Sword of Judgement and we are the instrument of His Will.
We are the Adeptus Astartes. We are the Angels of Death. We are... Space Marines."
"We, as Blood Ravens, also see it our sacred duty to nick everything that isn't welded down, naturally in the name of the Emperor and Mankind"
You can extract dow 2 models though
How would I do that? Ninjaripper does not cooperate with me or my settings are wrong. Or do I have to use some other tool?

Use SGA Reader 2 to open and extract the .sga archives. Models come in .model format and if you use Max then Santos Tool has an import script.
Minotaurs use them too, but that's pretty much it.

that's right, i forgot about the greeks.
santos tools 2. the first one is for dow. you may have problems downloading it though, i think the links in the thread are dead. i have it though.
Hey so that game Kill Team that was out on the 360 for a while just came out on Steam. I've had a nagging suspicion that the models in it were from DoW2. Can anyone confirm?
All the assets from KT except two are from Dow2.

I would gladly take Santos Tools 2 installer if possible
they're from dow2 but they don't use the same format. i have no idea what it is.

Hey there, I'm working on a Warhammer 40K roleplay for Gmod, and I am looking for any helpful people to rig and reskin some of the models posted in this thread for usage, or to edit Nutscript/Chestnut to a WH40K theme for us to use. We are very close to the server being opened to the public, and all we need is this content and a script. Please contact me at http://steamcommunity.com/id/argosprofile if you want to help.
So in other words, you have nothing yet? :P
Eitherway, started working on my "sensible sob" again. For those that don't remember anymore.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6252145/misc%20ports/SobTake5.jpg[/t]
i completely forgot about that thing, looks neat. are you planning to do texture improvements when the model itself is done and ready? all the scratches and stuff on the metal parts look cartoony
where did you get the chestplate from?
yeah, definitely will need texture improvements to tie the whole thing together. So once I'm done with the model side, I'll try to unify the UVW sheets.
Need to definitely bulk up the legs for instance first though.
As to the chest piece - the base is from amalur, though unsure where I got the fleur de Lys now. Maybe the UE3 SOB model or something from dow. Honestly unsure. The abs part is from the scourge project.
Overall from memory.
Head+shoulders = UE3 sob model
Chest+hands = amalur
Abs = scourge project
Hips = amalur
loincloth = spacemarine
Legs and boots = UE3 sob model
So in other words, you have nothing yet? :P
. . . Not exactly, although I should have specified. We have guardsmen models and Space Marine models, both rigged for the playermodel. All we need now is for someone to retexturize them accordingly, and maybe make additional bodygroups such as bionics or loin cloths or purity seals. Also, we plan on using nutscript, so someone who can edit it to be more WH40K-y would be great. Once again, it'd be great if someone lent a helping hand.
