ALLEGEDLY a leaked Forge World model concept. i'll have to make one of these at some point. wouldn't be very hard since i could easily recycle some of the Reaver bits i'm also re-thinking the Titan scaling currently. the Warlord and Emperor will be made smaller, so that all the weapons mounted on Reaver will look sensible on the Warlord and so that the Emperor doesn't ridiculously tower over the three smaller ones
does anyone have the latest santos tools 2 import scripts for 3ds max, the only links i could find were to outdated ones that don't work with any 3ds max versions past 2011 (I use 2012). I just need to be able to import .model files into 3dsmax tbh.
let it be known that the rigging on the Krieger's breathing tube is not only absolutely horrible, but also unfixable because of how messed up the fucking topology is. great job, what exactly happened to this thing? i'm remodeling the tube. already did the physics model and all the related shit

Yada yada yada RTS models scaled up aren't great to begin with.
Is that Warlord Titan you found downloadable?

in 3ds max? weird that it screws up the topology while Milkshape's polygon multiplying keeps things neat and clean

If nobody has the scripts could someone just upload all the death korps of krieg files (the vostroyan shotgun, dkok lasgun, infantry, grenadier, sergeant, commissar, general, ogryn etc.) I want to try my own hand at making some death korps models again (I ported them awhile ago but they had terrible rigging.)
i fixed and finished up the Grenadier, but the Guardsman is beyond help. holes everywhere, missing leg, completely broken smoothing. fuck this i'm going back to the Titans

yeh and i guess its physmodel can be used on the guardsman too since the skeletons are identical

Do you any links to the Dakka Dakka thread that posted it? It's interesting as Forge World announced a while back that they'd love to make a Warlord, but Horus Heresy time constraints (and probably that it would be even more insanely overpriced) meant that it's not planned for the future.
the models are really easy to get into max but i can't be bothered to do it.

bump i needed something to get my mind off the Marines for a bit because i was honestly growing tired of doing them, so i decided to remake the Emperor Titan's textures head is done, torso needs final tweaks and normal maps [img]http://files.1337upload.net/NewEmperorTextures-92ea10.jpg[/img] pretty gothic eh? doing this to make it look more convincing and grimdark. and so that the texture style doesn't clash with the other Titans which follow the Warlord's style. had to take some artistic liberties with the details for this, but the end result will be worth it. i'm going to halve the texture resolution on parts that will be some distance away from characters in scenes (head, guns, cables, main torso, some small bits) while keeping the resolution bigger on things that might be seen in more detail (legs, castle gun fortress and towers and floor) i also hacked together a huge four-barreled gun. the barrels have their own bones so SFM people can animate recoil and shit [img]http://files.1337upload.net/titancannon-2be3a1.png[/img] my plan is to make the castle tower tops bodygrouped, so the user can make a Warmonger Titan if they so wish by removing the tower tops and replacing them with big gun turrets also, head option [img]http://files.1337upload.net/emperorhead-4d92e4.png[/img] when i'm done with this i'll probably have enough drive to get the MK6 Corvus armor done

not really, but it's based on a pretty popular conversion for the Epic 40,000 Emperor model, where people would leave out the castle tower peaks and put Epic scale Hydra turrets on them

it isn't that huge actually. i've shrunk it since the first previews to make it more reasonable-sized (compared to the Warlord and Reaver titans) it's still fucking humongous of course

well, went in-game to do some size comparing. old version on the right [t]http://files.1337upload.net/emperorsizes-4586f2.jpg[/t] the results are in: it's too small. why is it so fucking hard to get the scale right? no wonder GW never bothered with it however this will be rectified easily. i'm already shrinking the Warlord a little to make the gun sizes between it, the Reaver and the Warhound match up. i only have to make the Imperator slightly bigger (so that the Warlord's two top vents reach the gun arms of the Imperator) and it'll look right proppa n' stompy
i'd just stick it back to the old size and leave it. it's supposed to be able to fit an enormous amount of guardsmen in each boot and be somewhere between 235m and really, really tall.
well look at the Krieger guy standing in front of the foot. I'd say it could fit a platoon inside it's feet. Uncomfortably, maybe, but I'd say it's possible.
