fuck procrastinating, time to get organized as FUCK. i'm going to port the Monolith tomorrow, upscale the Necron Destroyer and then release the fucking zombie robots as soon as my trusted SFM guys can make some quick promo animations. after that it's MK6 Corvus time, fuck everything else because that shouldn't take more than a day anyway. then i'll work on the Gargants for a bit, get one of them done at least. then back to Space Marines, first i'll rearrange their textures and texture folders, and then i'll hopefully get the MK7 done. if not done, at least started. the next thing to do is to figure out how much more bodygroups i can slap on the Space Marine models and make some new bodygroup shit in general (robes, shoulder pads, bling). kick that shit up to the max, then start making Legion/Chapter reskins with the help of a friend. after i have 20 Legions and 10+ Chapters, it's time for release. after that will come the Orks. or Chaos. or Dreadnoughts. who knows.
there won't be any ETAs because i have other shit to do too; i'm constantly trying to do some songwriting while practicing the songs my band currently has in the works, and i also have to do the Dawn of War mod stuff. the Monolith will be certainly done tomorrow, that's for sure
SFM and especially IK rig compatibility will be ensured whenever possible
Daemon Prince will be released with the Necrons as a bonus, since it's 100% done.

the Warlord's leg length has been corrected now, it towers above the Reaver but the gun scale is roughly the same to keep things consistent. "Epic 40,000" proportions basically. after these bodygroups are done and the $blendtintbybasealpha masks are ready the Titan is complete
i'm going to give it shoulder-mounted Apocalypse Missile Launchers of course. not sure about adding the Inferno Guns because i'm not sure how effective flame cannons would be when fired from so high, same deal with the Reaver's carapace mount

i'm skimming the very limits of the engine though, to get the Quake Cannons and Mega-Bolters in i'm going to have to strip some more detail from the bodygroup meshes

are you doing a multi-piece compile? apparently that will compile a bunch of parts separately and then merge the files. you'd have to ask someone who has actually done it though.
alternatively, just separate the weapons. anyone who wants to do poses can place them manually or attach them and anything animated is going to want to use attachments anyway.

at the moment i'm thinking of doing a few different versions with different weapon loads if i can't make one version with all the guns
the shoulder-mounted Mega-Bolters are going to be separate props though; since bone manipulation in Milkshape is the biggest bitch in the world i'm going to make them props with their own bones so the rotating barrels can be animated

Changing animations in NATIVE supported fucking titles like AvP2 didn't even work right, I can only imagine what happens to imported stuff.
yeh that's why every time i want to add a bone, i have to:
add it
export the SMD
correct all the bone angles fucked up by the addition of a new joint (meaning all of them) by editing the SMD's joint coordinate lines in Notepad
save
re-import
then start editing the lines for the new joint, trial-and-erroring one value at a time to correct its position and angle :v:
I think making the titan usable with the bone merge tool will allow you to make a single titan model capable of complete custom loadouts while maintaining your preferred high quality. Each arm and shoulder with have their own bodygrouped gun model to be bone merged so you won't have to worry about one single compile being too much.
I don't know shit about how to make bone merge stuff so it could be harder than it seems in my head.
well i've already made three models with different arm bodygroup selections
