Give the green zones some darker edges so that they don't look so monocoloured. Just looks really weird.
You could actually connect a green FX glow to them. (I think ep2 antlion grubs have the right glow, alternatively could just make one yourself) Here's a qc example of attaching the FX to the model - I attached it to specific bones which are placed in where I want the glow to be.

amazingly enough, they all use the same diffuse map. hooray for easy reskinning
many of these - not all - will also be available in the MK4, 5 and 7 sets. furthermore, the upper middle right one will also be used in Crusade/Heresy-era Terminator models
i've also sent the old MK2 helmet to the dump and made a new one, but don't have any pics of that yet. i'll show when i get to overhauling the MK2 and MK3 suits

You don't actually need to work with the joints specifically, as the FX attaches to an attachment. I just tend to make a bone in the place where I want it. But you can pretty much attach it to the head bone for instance and get the place for it in HLMV
HLMV has a tool for that?

i had to strip a few bodygroups though, so now the MK7 set will be divided into three models:
-basic
-"fancy"
-commander
basic is simple Marine armor with few ornaments, commander has the most bling, and "fancy" is for veterans and officer dudes and such

As long as someone does it, and there's a newer Tau Firewarrior Playermodel out of it, I'm happy. I would hope it ends up supporting Playercolor like mine though.

Mmmm. I had been working on some custom textures for Wraithcat's Space Marines and Fussy!/Bloocobalt's Imperial Guards, just haven't released them on the Workshop. If you want, I could get back into the swing of things.
well Wraith's marines will soon be obsolete, but anything related to the Guard would be great

also, as some of you might know, each arm, leg, shoulder pad, torso and helmet had its own diffuse texture and bumpmaps. that makes reskinning and file managing a little difficult. so i cut some corners and...

i'm not sure if the MK4 Maximus torso piece fits the "basic" armor, it's an archaic design and usually reserved to officers and veterans after all. it can be found in the "Fancy" armor set anyway, so should i remove it from this one?

eeeuuuuugh those colors are way too vibrant, it's like they hopped out of WH40K: Chaos Gate. the White Scar is the only one that looks proper
however since we're going to need all the original Legions, a few of their corrupted versions, the First Founding Chapters and some of the Successors, i'll take all the help i can get
