As I said Joazzz, those were when I was new to the concept, so don't be quick to judge. If you have a tutorial to make the colors more accurate, it would help immensely.
ye, i think i'll provide the proper colors in an image file or sumffin i'm also going to make a small tut that explains the masking stuff
Thanks mate. Keep me in the loop.
So, pretty much, to avoid the material cap, you're making a megatexture. Cool. How bad does it effect performance though? I gotta imagine something that big might make a few hits at first.

should i do Apothecaries? Crusade/Heresy-era and modern, with just one model for each? [editline]9th July 2014[/editline] and what about Librarians?
Apothecaries yes, Librariians if you really have all the neccesary decal stuff from the start, otherwise you're going to have to make a entirley new helmets and other shit.
i should be able to find the librarian helmet and accessories in the game files, i know someone else has dug them up too since i saw something like it on DeviantArt won't make a Heresy/Crusade version because the Edict of Nikaea banned them etc oh and the chain blade on the arm toolkit will get an animated version bodygroup [editline]9th July 2014[/editline] going to test these guys in GMod for the first time now [editline]10th July 2014[/editline] my god, Urbanator just made something absolutely beautiful [img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/rwe91fdh7dmq0ng/sessionaaab1000000.png[/img] the Necrons are now 100% IK compatible
whoop, first in-game test [img]http://files.1337upload.net/marines-5ac792.jpg[/img] they still need some tweaking though
Sort of finished the dow 2 sergeant and made a skin for the emperor's nightmare and finally threw the KF head ont he renegade trooper. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6252145/misc%20ports/rp_apocalypse0002.jpg[/t] Xana also found very cool drills, that look like they come straight out of 40k. Just need to make them slighly smaller I think. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6252145/misc%20ports/rp_apocalypse0003.jpg[/t]
Those look impressive! The Ultramarine on the left looks more like a Kill-Team member than a Sargent to me. Still, impressive work.
that's because he's unpainted

Their resemblence to the Hades Breaching Drill is near-identical: [t]http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/HD1.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/HD7.jpg[/t]
yeah I noticed that myself while digging through the files. you may also recognize; [img_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3298073806361242206/9F276DB86664019C1199636B1824FBDCBAE60578/[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/MachVulcan5.jpg[/img_thumb] it's on a spidertank, Might be in the files I gave wraith [quote][img_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3298073806361239790/239DBC10C3845D955717BC022CD86723BC19ABEB/[/img_thumb][/quote] also original emperor, donutsteel
The only guff I made when I skinned that Dark Angel was when the helmet when freaking full bright. But since then you just keep working at it and the kinks get out. More skinners easier this will be imo. I can't wait to do some pre-heresy black angels and Luner Wolfs.
Xana, where's this stuff from anyways?
it's from EYE, Divine Cybermancy. According to the developers they were heavily inspired by warhammer. which is actually pretty good news prop wise, quite a lot of the scenebuilding stuff screams Imperial gothic and chaos run slums
Eitherway, I threw my marines on the workshop, including some of the guard, guns and stuff. Will possible include the citizen heads if I actually get unbored with all of it and redirect the head textures so they don't use bloo's. But well I'm lazy as hell. it's mostly forgeworldy type modular corridors and equipment, but theres nice Fortress Monastery looking bits [img_thumb] http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/594789945256990507/C5953A11099FFC4CDCA9AD6BD4382CCD984EDD28/ [/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/594789945256993238/5E4EE4C55D85E02E3C00C0002694F34205A16AB5/[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/594789945256996260/D7374213AE9582666399BFA7D7E98893984351D4/[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/3298073806362600492/037EA437DEDBF03C9B12376BFE2087DA787257B4/[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/594789945257000551/B4550D3E889E0F23E9DAE6353A98D3B736F7F7CC/[/img_thumb] also, the culter heavy armor could make a good inquisitor, all the content together is about 2 gigs, if you can recommend a good site to host it, you can pick and choose what you need if you find it useful for hacks or skins
I've tried porting the EYE stuff before; always ended up with weird texture issues. If you managed to get it all to work though, that's awesome. I've wanted to use the EYE models for a long time.
I agree with James, these could be very useful in general.
I agree with Viper.
I agree with James that agree with me who agrees with James.
Boy now that you mention it, I can really see those WH40k inspirations. Those ceiling turrets remind me of autocannons.
those pillars look pretty neat
first proper in-game render of the latest MK2/MK3 models [img]http://files.1337upload.net/mk2mk3-ab4303.jpg[/img]
before we can get to properly making Legions, we're going to need some extra detail for some of them. here's a preview [img]http://files.1337upload.net/proppreview-081375.png[/img]
are you giving them a tie
