currently in the works and yes, it's a bodygroup for all the Terminators and will be Chapter/Legion colored. once this is done the Terminator armor diffuse is full and i can call the thing done texture-wise. then i'll cram some more bodygroups into it. i'll also post a pic of what i've done with the Power Fist soon
Ah, the Cyclone Missile Launcher.... I've been needing to say this for a while now mate, which is I'm loving the amount of quality work you have been putting into these models! So looking forward to their release!

Gorgeous!
Yess chainfist. On of the most awesomely fucking impractical and stupid things there is.
Yess chainfist. On of the most awesomely fucking impractical and stupid things there is.
The Imperium lost the STC for the can opener, so they improvised. Gets beans everywhere like, but still, it's the thought that counts.
we have an Assault Cannon (prototype) i'll tune it later when the Terminators are done [editline]2nd September 2014[/editline] and yes the barrel has its own bone for animating
Absolutely sexy, that'd even make the techpriests of Mars moist. :v:
The barrel has its own bone for animating
Slow-mo shots ensue.
slapped some more bodygroups on this thing. the robes will be exclusive to the Unforgiven [editline]2nd September 2014[/editline] i also remade the loincloth
robes
Yay. :3
i think i just figured out how to rig (and animate) a Chainsword's blade properly, and that means no more animated texture based teeth! except for the chainfist, because adding new bones to the power fist would be a bitch

How did you end up rigging a chainsword?
i imported the original one from Space Marine with bones and looked at how it was rigged. after quickly checking out how to use Milkshape's (extremely limited and primitive) animation utility i messed around a bit and actually got it to loop an animation where the teeth looked like they went around the blade like they should [t]http://files.1337upload.net/cataphractiiheads-139784.jpg[/t] two styles of a more Forge World-accurate head for the Cataphractii-pattern terminator. the old one i made is still included as a bodygroup.
you know what, i'm doing the vehicles right away after all. i found the files for the Drop Pod and Thunderhawk and the tanks will be DoW2 stuff with some improvements. we're only really going to need the Predator, Land Raider and Rhino anyway. i'll throw everything into one diffuse map so they can be reskinned quickly and efficiently. Horus Heresy-era tanks won't be available at the time of the initial release, those would take too much time and work. they'll be made later.

Admittedly not as nice if seem from the front.
yep, that's what i've been doing so far. smaller chainblades like the ones on the Chainfist and the Apothecary's toolkit will remain as scrolling textures while actual swords and most likely axes will have rigged blades [editline]4th September 2014[/editline] oh and the Titan Chainfist(s) will also have rigged teeth of course, a 2d texture wouldn't look right with that kind of scale
i completely forgot about the Land Speeder. anyone know any game mods that would have a decent quality version of it? the DoW1 one is just way too low-res to be practical, although i suppose i could boost the mesh detail a little myself
when i'm done messing with the Thunderhawk - it needs some fixing since the game used a special texture system for it - i'll get back to the Terminator stuff. i'll try and avoid sidetracking after these two are done [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] the doors are ragdolled and the harnesses inside have their own joints for lifting them [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] what's super weird is that this model seems to have only half the carrying capacity the miniature versions have; there's room for only 5 Marines i'm not sure if i should try doing something about that
Hnnngh that's so fudging good. Do you know if there's a Valkyrie port by chance? Plenty of Space Marine stuff but hardly any Imperial Guard vehicles, other than for the basilisk.
a guy named Bloocobalt did an excellent Valkyrie port some time ago and i was looking for it just a few mins ago - to see how he handled the texture side of things because the Valkyrie used the same complicated texture system as the T-Hawk however the thing sadly seems to have completely disappeared from the internet. no release thread, no pictures, not a trace. which should be completely goddamn impossible but here we are. and i bet no-one has the model in storage anymore.

heilige scheiße and i bet Tycho is thankful too [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] totally gonna steal that thing's interior for the Thunderhawk
Could anyone possibly get the basilisk out of space marine for me?
YES. I have been hard searching for the slightest bit of Imperial Guard goodness, and that Valkyrie makes me tingle fuzzies. Thanks for putting the word out Joazz, and thanks for the response Taggart! Slowly but surely building Gmod's warhammer workshop.
Could anyone possibly get the basilisk out of space marine for me?
i guess i could
i'd like to know what the hell the devs were on when they made these normal maps eugh, i'll fix the shader shit and then get Jenkins the Basilisk
heilige scheiße and i bet Tycho is thankful too [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] totally gonna steal that thing's interior for the Thunderhawk
Doesn't the Thunderhawk have an interior during the intro to Space Marine? Or is it just the same as the Valkyrie?
the one in the intro is probably a different model, just like how the Valkyrie you shoot out of in the flying sequence is vastly different from the others. the Thunderhawk itself has nothing but a black void in its 'mouth' and i wouldn't be surprised if they simply used the Valkyrie interior for the intro bit [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] yeeep, this thing is absolutely huge. little wonder, it's supposed to carry Dreadnoughts after all i'm going to give it a detail texture and add some more improvements to the diffuse [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] first i think i'll get Jenkins the Basilisk tho
