the post is literally right above you, don't quote it testing some more stuff decorated veteran Spacio Marinus charges into glorious battle
*Ultrasmurf hehehe
The sergeants are Papas Smurfs
i prefer calling them Ultratoilets due to the Chapter badge because the smurf thing is getting so fucking old
orks and imperial guard
So do you plan to do any of the IG's static weapons or field artillery(Earthshakers, Thudd Guns, Medusas, Heavy Mortars, Sabre Gun Platforms, and ETC)
most likely. technically i already have the Earthshaker and Medusa, since i made the Basilisk/Medusa tanks some time ago. just need to put the things on stationary bases. [editline]9th February 2015[/editline] the stationary emplacements probably won't get any regiment-specific coloring though, unlike the tanks and other vehicles
will you also include wheeled carriages for the Dkok, or just stationary platforms?
it's likely that i'll do the wheeled versions too Horus Heresy era Indomitus pattern Terminator armor version 2 [editline]11th February 2015[/editline] also introducing the Carsoran pattern power axe
a random Tactical Sergeant for your viewing pleasure... and also to showcase the new cape ragdoll deliciously rigged by Ninja_Nub, plus the redone Roman Legion style things hanging from the belt
Kheres pattern assault cannon(s) for the Contemptor Dreadnought - with rigged barrels for animating
Damn son, that's alot of dakka...
personally i like the twin linked heavy bolter option more. currently working on that
Can't wait for the Terminator release.
i'm not releasing the terminators separate from the other Marines
working on some more bodygroups for the MK3 going to do the same to the MK2, commanders and such use slightly different helmets etc after all i really have to do the Storm Eagle/Fire Raptor at some point but GGGHHGGHGHGHGHGH it's so much goddamn work also here's the craziest Land Raider bodygroup combination i could come up with
Needs a boned crest so it can be rotated.
not a bad idea actually i'm including several styles of crests - some of the designs are sorta Legion-specific - and having a bone in it would save me at least one bodygroup slot however i'm making the Storm Eagle now, gonna go back to the Marines and the Contemptor when that's done
i thought that Letho guy from Witcher would make a p good Spess Meren and he kinda does. a prototype for the first head of the several to come [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] 1. the heads will have bodygroups for several types of hair, which in some cases is Legion/Chapter-specific: -Space Wolves get their beards and braids and shit, and i'll be sure to rig those -Alpha Legionnaires will be smooth and bald with azure/cyan eyes -Imperial Fists will get Manly Moustaches and crew cut hair if any at all -Black Templars will also get Manly Moustaches and Boisterous Beards because shaving is weakness but trimming is NOT! -Iron Hands have extra bionic bodygroup options, bald heads by definition and pale skin -THE WORLD EATERS! BUTCHER'S NAILS! SCARRING! BLOOD FOR THE WARMASTER! -White Scars will have some ritual scar markings and chinese-like facial features -Raven Guard shall be extremely pale with very dark eyes and hair -Iron Warriors will be scarred, rugged and very veteran-looking -Salamanders: red eyes, with the skin pigmentation blacker than the Blackest Black TIMES INFINITY. i mean, how more black could that skin be? the answer is none. none more black. you get the idea 2. i'll include some generic heads that can be put on miscellaneous Chapters if needed 3. hair and facial hair will be white by default and colorable... in most cases 4. skingroups will change certain features like stubble 5. there will be several heads with varying physical builds and aging, for maximized variation 6. some Traitor versions of the Legions will have more sinister and corrupted-looking faces i'll also try to get someone to make them some proportion-changing flexes for even more varied looks the heads of a parent Chapter/Legion can be used with successors
I don't want to sound like a douche, but: *Spess Mehreens But, good job on these.
i'm not sure what you're getting at also, size comparison, OR: Headhammer 40,000: Dawn of Small however, it looks just right to me. it's not like i could scale the already faceposable heads anyway so they're staying this way!
Damn, I knew Space marines had a fucked up anatomy, but the terminator on this pic really drives the point home.
yeah i have no fucking idea how they put themselves in that armor some art and/or games have depicted Terminator armor with more realistic proportions, but that always plays against the "walking tank" aspect of them, and the whole "super board shoulders" thing is also impossible to get right without breaking the wearer's arms one theory is that they're hunched in the suit, but that doesn't explain the shoulders
I always figured it was an exoskeleton for Marines. If you opened up the suit, it would be a big huge thing with slots for arms and legs, and the user's movement is mechanically assisted.
Isn't it like, the pauldrons make it seem like their shoulders are so broad? And the actual "tunnels" for arms is positioned quite lower than the joint seems to be. Then again, that would prevent arms from raising properly, good luck shooting. Sort of like this here. [t]http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/5/51/Terminator_Armour.jpg[/t] Though the proportions on that one look completely screwed up and impossible to compare with other pictures, not even mentioning inconsistent with actual miniatures and stuff. And then you have stuff like this [t]http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/8/82/Custodes_terminators.jpg[/t]
yeah i pretty much went with the style that the second image shows [editline]14th February 2015[/editline] allows for more creative freedom while not restricting movement as much i'll probably have to stick a bunch of cables in the armpits to tone down the "broken shoulder joints" thing though
I seem to recall an image a while back somewhere showing what the human looks like inside of the armor (skeleton, muscles etc.), they look more like a very wide football player.
Here is said image I think you are referring to: However, I know a better image showing comparison of the size of an average human, a basketball player (don't ask me why they did it) and a Space Marine. Following that, I think that Terminator Shoulder armour is more thicker than what we either believe or know, giving the distorted proportions that we've been looking at.
well at least it looks like my human/astartes size difference is about right
