I would like to work on getting some environment stuff from Space Marine again, but the file hierarchy is trash. It's a huge pain finding all of the textures needed for an object because they end up scattering them all over the place. Opening the .bmat in a hex editor doesn't reveal anything helpful either.
Anyone have any advice/ideas on how to making tracking down the needed textures less painful?

Okay, so I can actually piece together some of the textures from the hex, but it's still far from convenient. Better then the guesswork I was doing a while back. I'll probably end up porting some Imperial Guard stuff again for my comic.
I'm also gonna redo the stuff I previously did. Turns out most of my textures were wrongly placed. Whoops :v:
Any idea of how much I should scale models ported from Space Marine? I'm awful at eyeballing this kind of thing.

Will Gar Vorbak have "humanized" (as in space marine human) versions since, as far as I'm aware, they can change between human and possessed forms?

I've yet to find any artwork of them without being in possession mode, so there's that. Will they simply have crimson-er armor?

they'll get all sorts of equipment that i'll get to later, and the separate heads will get bodygroups for proper equipment in addition to all the other stuff

maybe, but the DoW2 model had a fully armored torso and i thought it looked neat so i replicated that

Hey guys, sorry to interrupt here. I stumbled upon this thread and didn't even understand what exactly it is that you are modding. I think your modded skins work in multiple games? In which games do they work then? The scenes look fantastic!
I found this because I have bought the card game "Space Hulk: Death Angel" and wanted to create my own space marine terminator cards with the heads of friends. It's not easy to find such images, so I found this thread.
Would it be possible to get some Space Marine Terminator pictures without any helmet? I would place in heads myself in photoshop.

2 and CS:GO trailer clips with. a public version was released a few years back
i prefer communicating through Steam, i dont use Skype and Facebook is too personal for my taste. this forum has a personal messaging system, so we could use that

The free version is an old and outdated copy of the game that is generally no longer supported, save by a small handful of communities. The Steam version is the most up-to-date copy of the game, and is still occasionally updated. A majority of mods for GMod are made for the newest version available, and quite a few of them make use of the Steam Workshop for distribution.

Oh. I'm following the workshop thingy now, but I only got normal marines and some imperial soldiers. Is there no workshop item with all the skins that were posted here? Why not? :/
