I beg you to help me with the last qc part please man...
I don't see what's the problem. All you need to do is to put what necessary is into an empty document (in Notepad), and save it as a *.QC file.
Huh? What do you mean? Don't you pay for 3ds max?
Who does?
heres a example QC file for anyone having trouble:
$modelname "models\subdir\modelname.mdl" $cdmaterials "subdir\" $scale 1 $surfaceprop "metal" $sequence idle "modelname.smd" fps 1 $collisionmodel "modelname.smd" { $mass 100.0 $inertia 1.00 $damping 0.00 $rotdamping 0.00 }

Who does?
A lot of people
Not many of the ones that browse this forum. Sure game devs and professional freelancers do, but some average dude on a forum for a mod wouldn't.
but some average dude on a forum for a mod wouldn't.
XSI mod tool.
I don't understand how to make the SMD into the Valve files.
XSI mod tool.
sucks
Fixed. But now my model is invisible..
XSI mod tool.
I wish I could rate you informative, because that had absofuckinglutely nothing to do with what we were talking about.
Well I got the model to work but now its Purple and pink.... Please help me fix my texture. QC
$modelname llama\sniper.mdl $cdmaterials models\llama $model body "sniper.smd" $sequence "sniper" "sniper"
File Locations.
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\llamalords\half-life 2\hl2\models\llama C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\llamalords\half-life 2\hl2\materials\models\llama
VMT
"LightmappedGeneric" { "$basetexture" "llama/sniper" "$surfaceprop" "Metal" }
Maybe this will help you solve it.
$cdmaterials models/materials/llama
is
$cdmaterials materials/models/llama
Is it just me or are the rigs odd? You move the bone in the forearm and it moves the hand.. And is there anyway to transfer the weights from their bone to the source bone set?
Yeah I fixed that please just add me to friends so I can talk to you one on one. "llamalords" EDIT: Didn't fix it..
Open up the vtm and paste the contents here
Open up the vtm and paste the contents here
Already fixed it: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=680613

Did you snag the transform animation? It imported that, and I'm working on importing that. Haven't made animated collision models before.
Did you snag the transform animation? It imported that, and I'm working on importing that. Haven't made animated collision models before.
Add me to steam friends maybe we can work together. "Llamalords"
Add me to steam friends maybe we can work together. "Llamalords"
Wish you guys both good luck on porting it.
3DS NIF Plugin v3.4.2 for Autodesk 3DS Max a better on that works with all versions and a gui installer http://sourceforge.net/projects/niftools/files/max_plugins/3.4/niftools-max-plugins-3.4.2.4632.exe/download took me like an hour to find that after the one he linked didn't work with my v9
Bit of a bump. Do any of the NIF plugins work with 2010? Seems to be that there are not any for it.
*Bump* If I assign the material to the model, the box wents just black. Can anyone help me?
Tutorial needs fixing =(
Thanks
