There's actually 3 face posable jills if you count the 'dark' Jill I ported since that had some face posing.

Finally some good news. as lurkers of this thread should know I was having a pain in the ass of a time trying to compile mr x's 2nd form, reason being that the poly count was a 1000 polys over the 20k limit, however:

After compiling this in the orange box engine he is now in however he still needs rigging(since I quit working on it since I thought he wouldn't be portable) so as of now I will state this:
[b]All ports in this thread will now only be compiled in the ORANGE BOX SDK and not the original HALF LIFE 2 SDK[/b]
With this in mind I may port the original models also into the orange box see if I can make some minor modifications to them anywho that's all keep checking for updates.

Would it be too much to ask if you have the knives from the ReMake ripped into a format 3dsmax can understand and if so, would you be kind enough to provide them, it would really help. I've gone through many pages of the thread and I couldn't find any links (I tried searching but it's apparently been disabled).
Also great work on all the models you've done so far! They all look fantastic.
All I can find is chris's knife at the mo i've got all the files scattered on my external makes looking for files difficult considering the amount of files I have in one folder anyway check your pms.

Too bad... :| I loved Resident evil 3 and most old games like it...
There is something with the old games that makes them unforgettable.
I can't say such thing about any modern game... Seems like the gameplay, storyline and the whole atmosphere isn't what it used to be...
Just a few months ago I've played some PS1 games like RE3 and Parasite EVE 2
and felt much satisfied with them then with other newer games...
The whole thing in games now it's based on huge resolutions, massive amounts of polys, super hires textures, lots of action, less to no puzzles, etc... all in all it's eye candy stuff...
I don't say that's a bad thing with the new technology capabilities in games,
but the main aspect of a game it's forgotten...
I like the implementation of vertex weights, bumpmaps (only when used correctly - I've see A LOT of modelers that abuse of bumpmapping... ) other effects like particles, lighting effects (I must admit I don't really know much about these... ) and let's not forget the lod models that I find really ingenious thing to have in a game... Maybe other stuff that doesn't cross my mind right now...
Personally I would enjoy a game on a new game engine that doesn't push the limits in terms of tech but has a very good storyline/gameplay.
I won't mind playing a game in 800X600 with 512X512 max texture size but benefit of the above implementations...
Bottomline: New games aren't what games used to be... :(

Developers only take in account the average stupid retarded kid that has money to spend on a game, plays it, get really bored and get to the store to buy another one...
No more games with huge replay value and stuff... All it's about now is marketing...
BTW: Does an old game like RE3 used skeleton for animating models ?
I agree with you all the way there, TO answer your question yes even the old resi models have bones with the mesh weighed to them to clarify every player model,npc or character models all have to be rigged to a skeleton to be even used otherwise they would just be meshes that did nothing in game =P

Just a curious noob question... I have never ripped a model from a game but I want to ask: When a model is ripped from a game, it's exported with skeleton and/or UVmap coords also ?
Aside from that, IF it's exported along with the skeleton can animations be ripped from the game ?

Can you port Alexia and Alfred Ashford from the Darkside Chronicles? The models are outstanding, didn't know the Wii looks so good.

IIRC, I believe Mariokart ported those models a while back, a long time ago. Though I don't remember the link to his site nor to the thread itself :(.

Depends on how you rip the model, some can be extracted with some programs that keep both texture uv maps and skeletons whereas others just export the mesh and textures, and others just export the mesh.
It really depends on how the ripper rips them.
