Anyone knows what tools can I use to rip models from PSX RE3 Nemessis ?
I've googled for some info but I found that my disc doesn't have any TMD files to rip... :| I only have TIM files (images/sprites ?) DAT, BIN, PLD, PLW, ARD, D01 and other types... sound etc.
EDIT: Nevermind... I've managed to rip jill's model from PS1 disc... :D
I hate to plug on a different forums but no one is checking out my comic (and it took forever to make)... It uses a lot of dsdxp's models soo... Check out part 2. (I know part 1 sucks)

Okay, if you wish I can provide help. I've got all Darkside Chronicles models decrypted. Lets put it that way, I'm good at ripping but I suck at modelling.

and my question to you guys is have you ever thought about remaking one of the games i know there was a resident evil called twilight i think which got stopped but this is more possible than my timesplitters remake if you guys agree with this reply im sure we can get a team setup somehow just add me on steam JustinTheEnd if you wanna just talk about this more.
im also a very experienced mapper it wouldn't be hard to remake the resident evil 1 mansion (not the remake) most likely take 2 months

Mabye you should finish Time Splitters first, and RE: Twilight isn't dead.
I don't think dsdxp would have time to do that stuff
he's more busy making models already

Seriously I think remaking something is a really bad idea in general. Don't get me wrong, I only mean remaking original locations, not the game itself, because people will always compare your maps to the original ones.
Why not go for a complete reboot? Only stick to the story, keep the canon and start something completely new:
E.g. make a hospital map and put in puzzles you need to solve to escape, just something new for gods sake. We only need the characters and some Umbrella logos here and there and it will look good. I hope you got the idea, I don't want to be some knocker here, but I have seen too many remake projects dying.

Actually I'm busy either doing portfolio work or taking a damn break since i've being working 10 months straight without a break OR i'm not even on my laptop so explain how in the hell i'm supposed to to read and reply to a pm?
And no I don't just ignore them pretty much 9 times out of 10 its about link this link that OR its somebody wanting to know how to rip a model. ¬_¬
Some people need to learn to fend for themselves i'm not gonna be there all the time to hold hands and guide them through the damn process, and anyways I was in the process of writing up a guide on ripping specific models more aimed at resi models but no people persist on wanting me to help them figure out where one model is.

OK....I'll tell you a quick story, I was part of a similar project a year ago working with a group of people to make a resident evil source game and you know what happened right?

Its why I won't look at another resident evil project involving working with other people, and besides I modelled a bunch of stuff that never even got used.
And now i'm going to say this once, its early in the morning, i'm not 100% I feel like crap but yet i'm typing this out...

well it's down to opinions my timesplitters project is only being made because it had no online capabilities however it was great offline. im just going to stop talking now because i think the host is getting annoyed with me not talking about the models .

yeah i wasn't saying i would leader the project i was saying if you guys ever were thinking about a mod i would be happy to help with mapping needs and also the resident evil twilight mod ive seen no updates?

Nah I know what ya mean if the timesplitter addon is doing as good as it is then I wish you the best when you get round to a Resident Evil based one, pick people who are devoted to the series that's just something i've learned in general.
Update on the pack is well... after much consideration
I'm just going to recompile all the ragdolls in the ep 2 engine, I still need to fix carlos slightly, next on the list is a boss enemy haven't decided who or what yet.

Why don't you give us your top 5 bosses and have a small vote? What RE games do you have access to for boss models?
Most bosses are in Umbrella or Darkside.

Just being going over my old compiled models and discovered that I wasn't actually compiling for half life 2 ep 1 it was just bog standard hl2 engine, which would explain why my phong attempts always buggered up that will be fixed asap.
I'll give you guys until tomorrow to vote and then i'm gonna rig decided model plus some others.
