Once the direct3d dll is tampered with the game display breaks you must close the game manually and browse your textures. There is a problem with only grabbing the 1024 only textures as the game has hair and weapon textures that are non square and up to only 512. I personally use Ninja Ripper, and browse the texture dump only folder to match with the 64x64 files that I extract with umodel, the specifics are back further in this thread.

Not to knock you but this decontrasts them, loses it's color pallette, etc and "brightening" them in Photoshop really doesn't help. They also fuck up the normal maps. Ninja Ripper is not good with this game unless you turn off Advanced Lighting in GFX, but then you lose Normal Maps, so. It's a lose/lose situation. Use a real texture ripper.

I have posted step by step instructions on how exactly to fix the "decontrast" issue that does, in fact work. I've been able to get Ninja Ripper to rip undarkened textures without changing ingame settings. I have tested them using the UDK test environment, both direct ripped darkened and non, as well as my fixed ones from Photoshop. The only thing Ninja Ripper does is extract the darkened textures from the Unreal Engine. UDK darkens the light tga files when you add them texture materials anyway. The direct rip darkened textures even more so using the UDK, while the undarkened and modified look exactly like the ingame scenes. I know that they are the same because I match the files in a 2-up vertical arrangement in Photoshop and have a professionally color calibrated monitor, nor do I have even the slightest bit of color blindness I don't know maybe you're misunderstanding which files you have to change the mid-tone levels in Photoshop? The answer is every single one that do not match the source 64x64 files that uModel extracts. It is a very simple and straight forward process.

This is how I do it.
1: Use uModel to extract the game models from their upk files.
2: Use Ninja Ripper for Marvel Heroes as texture only rip.
3: Use the Windows Explorer Preview for the Texture2D folder of my target model and match up the thumbnail of my targeted model's ripped dds, they are usually next to each other in numerical sequence.
4: Open the 64x64 tga textures from extracted Texture2D folder in Photoshop, use 2 up vertical view mode to place side-by-side comparison of the ripped dds files. Compare the colors to see if step 5 is needed.
5: If necessary alter mid-tones with the Levels adjustment to 2.34-2.40, save the modified dds as tga with 32bit and alpha channel selected.
6: Use Unreal Development Kit to open the extracted psk file in SkeletalMesh3 folder to export as fbx for use in any 3D software that can import it.

I wanted to ask how to export specular texture with model... I have kept maps in material browser with bump but when i export it .... It only asks about diffuse.... I use gw-Obj exporter.... (It pretty good) .... I need to attach shining texture to Ultron Drones or Sub-Ultron
I have yet to play Infinite Crisis or look at the game files, so I don't know what engine it uses.
I use the diff map in the spec map slot to provide the shine.
