I have a question concerning 3D Studo Max for you 3Doers... When you download a 3D model, you have habitually 3 files : a .psk, a .dds and another .dds like the following picture. In 3Ds Max, I am able to apply the classic design material but the other one in blue, is it used for something ? Thank you !

While setting the level, I couldn't see any visual difference but when you render, it's clearly apparent if you put too high or too low level.

Thank you so much!

And slotting it straight into the bump tab in 3DStudio Max is wasting its full potential. Yes, do click on the Bump tab in 3DS Max BUT THEN select NORMAL BUMP from the options (not the texture yet), you'll get another tab that says Normal, click on that AND THEN select the normal map texture from your files. It's ONE MORE step but you'll clearly see the difference as the normal map will make the muscles and everything pop as if you had more geometry.

Hi all, I have a broken game. Reinstalling does not help. New models (such as Rogue) in the near future from me will not.:suicide:
What files does it need? When Rogue comes on test center I can send it to you if you need
I'm talking about the game itself. I have not started it. Now I can not rip textures from the game.
Was the word intruder included in your error RaphaelS? I ran into that briefly, but did a registry clean and a reinstall and it seems to have resolved itself. Though I'm not sure if my actions are actually what fixed it or not. I like to use the models and their textures as templates to make higher rez costumes with more of the details modeled in. I really appreciate all the models you were able to pull. Using umodel I've extracted the Guardians of the Galaxy movie characters with the correct UVs intact. When using the Ninja Ripper, is there a file size to watch out for that suggests that it's a character texture?

Having some difficulty with the GotG Groot's textures, hoping to do Playermodel in the future. If anyone gets any further with it, I'd appreciate a more developed model.
I've got 1024x1024 of Drax, Gamora and Movie Starlord, and I finally managed to get 1024x1024 of Movie Groot and Rocket. For a while I thought 1024 is where they topped out, but then I landed the same 2048x2048 Ms. Marvel twice now I also get maps that are much less dark every now and then Is there a smart way to ensure larger textures rip?

That's all that's worked for me so far. Maybe when uModel's source code is released, someone can look into MH's texture forma and maybe we'll finally be able to rip the textures, but that's wishful dreaming.
I'm hoping they eventually throw Howard the Duck and Man Thing in there. Aside from Howards Lego model, they simply haven't appeared in games.

I've been trying to snag some AIM scientists, Servo Guards and that Munchin Ultron, but I'm starting to wonder if their textures just don't come higher rez.

If anyone gets GotG Groot with highest re textures applied properly, please post.
If anyone gets GotG Groot with highest re textures applied properly, please post.
I got 512 textures. That's the highest i can find. Teamups/Summons don't have full 1024, I believe.

I was using Cylonproject's rips and for whatever reason they wouldn't line up properly. My apologies if it's something obvious, I've only just started working on mods recently, and I'm trying to throw together some ragdolls and player models for practice.
Anyone have the new costumes of Loki(Modern), Punisher(Omega Effect), Thor(Old Thor) models?

I had never done either before, like, a week ago. I mean, the game is free, all the necesary software to grab the models is free. It's simple.

Ninja Ripper textures rip far too dark.
Thanks. My problem is that I haven't enough space in my PC for the game itself, so is pretty much impossible for me to even try it. But maybe in a near future. I know that people that only request are anoying, sorry guys. That was only if someone already rip those models.
