I'm gonna get flamed over this, but I would rather have Skylanders characters, especially Spyro and Cynder.

Ripto really appeared in another game? How? He dies at the end of Ripto's Rage.
Anyways, I'd much rather have Spyro from one of the PS1 games, than from any of the games not developed by Insomniac (which is every game after Year of the Dragon btw).
I Don't Mind What Spyro Version whether it'll be The Original, LoS or Skylanders (even though i don't see how you can rip models from Skylanders anyway)
