So he's the one. Hopefully if he accepts, he'll do a good job.
Ok, it can't hurt to try.
Has anyone tried to contact him yet, or will I be the first one?
Edit:
I guess I should have known this would have happened...
After all, we are on page 13.
I say for a request thread this has gotten pretty far i mean 13 pages lets keep it going.
If we stop at 13 things can only get worse, right?
Kids can be dumb sometimes.
You can say that again. Have you seen that LitFuse Films fake preview Don't Shoot The Wockets ?
Yep. The kid was being awesome, though.
True, he was better than most. I can't seem to get my jeep to go as fast as he did in the end shot. The entire jeep was pushed towards the ground.
What the hell do we do now?
We try to find someone willing to do it.
Well, Nova said he could help, but we'd have to wait awhile since his in the middle of getting a 'ploma. I sent him a link to this thread and said we'd appreciate any help he could give us in the mean time.
The only real problem here is getting the unfinished models from Snood. I hope he didn't delete them.
'Diploma' :P
i am happy to provide support everything except re-rigging the models.
i will put the un-compiled smd's up later today and when we have had them rigged ill run the model trough the Garry's mod QC (works better for gmod than a generic hl2 qc)
Thank you for your help Nova. If there's anything I can do, let me know. Unfortuneately, I don't know much about modding, so at the moment all I can really do is Beta and publicize through machinima.
P.S. I meant to spell it like "'Ploma"
Same with me, I'll help with anything. I can help with the basic Lua for this.
Hoorah for Omolong!
This thread would've dwelled into the limits of desperation if Omolong hadn't come across this thread.
Wow guys, this should have only taken you an hour or so to do. The current models will work as player models, they just have different animation names and the such. So find the lua that defines player animations and add TF2 playermodels to it. If you want hl2 and css guns to work with it duplicate the hand bone and rename it to the hl2/css hand attachment. It's really not as hard as you've made it out to be. (If there's no lua file that says playermodel animations bug Garry).
Re-rigging the models or using different animations ($includemodel method) causes horrible mesh deformation, so even if they were realeased they'd look awful and wouldn't animate correctly, i.e. the heavy especially.
You're working too hard for such a simple thing.
I don't think there is a Lua file for animations. Anyway, you would have to update it everytime there is an update. AND you can't overwrite stuff in the gcf, which is probally where this Lua file would be (if it does exist), and you wouldn't be able to run it through the normal folders because Garry's Mod runs all the base stuff through the gcf and not the normal folders, so anything you do put in the normal folders would get overridern by the gcf files.
Where that all came from I don't know.
Could you put that in English for me, please?
Um, you guys know Silverlan? He got all the TF2 models to work... With some sort of code change. He's gonna release it with his gamemode. Might as well just wait for that. Much simpler.
Sweet!!

Yay! Link to the thread please?

But he's not making playermodels, is he?
Wow. Big project for one guy.
He's making the entire game itself. Gosh, you people are so burden.
Holy Frak
Isn't it possible to replace the TF2 player model bones with HL2 model bones, then put them into Gmod as player models?

I think that would require remodelling from scratch. Don't quote me on that though.
I think Snood managed to get the Pyro and Scout working, before he ditched the project.
Cant Wait for This to Come out!
