It's actually illegal to make money off ripped content due to international copyright laws.
Technically these models were free content by an independent guy who modeled as a hobby (or as favors for friends) for use as custom content in the Obsidian Conflict mod. I don't know if it's illegal to be making money off of it like that, but I know it's rather unethical. The sad part is that all he did was make a few qc edits and (for the most part) released it as his own. At least he had some courtesy to credit the original modeler, but that was barely noticeable.

The thing was already completely rigged for use as a player model in another Source mod. Only thing he did was change a few lines of text. That is [b][u]not[/u][/b] effort.

It really hurts me that we're probably the only two who realize this. I'm probably the only "weeaboo" in here not going "OMG SO KAWAII xD <3" because at least I realize the wrongdoings of this guy. I'm mostly bothered since I know and am friends with most of the people that these models were made for originally.
I don't understand why you are still complaining about it. Does it really bother you that much that this guy is making a tiny amount of money through an advertising site? Why don't you go and complain to Mediafire for making money from these models too?

I don't mind anime shit as long as it isn't poured into my face and forcefully given to me, you also really don't have a reason to complain considering its ad.fly, seriously, if you don't want him to make money, then don't click the link, its not like you earn alot of money from it anyways.
