Hey guys, I just got around to tinkering with the models in SFM, but I have an issue with the jumppacks. [img]http://i.imgur.com/N4yL5kM.png[/img] They don't seem to accept map lighting or whatever, making them completely black unless a light is cast on them. How can I fix this?
Are you using custom vmts or the vmts from titanfall? it may have a shader that's not in legacy source engine.

Do you guys think that all the weapons and a possible gamemode could be put into GMOD? I mean, I know it'll take time, and I'm not saying to rush, but if these are all possible, when do you think it'll be done? Also, I'd like to hear some progress if anyone has started on that already. I've seen the character model imports and all, but what I'm looking forward to is a titanfall map, a gamemode, or at least have the weapons ported over.
it would be too complex to do a full clone of titanfall in gmod to unstable for that, so the best option would be to make it similar to deathmatch but in the sense you get enough kills you turn into a titan or on death..

(so, titanfall without the titans.) A HUD could also be possibly made, right?

i'd say the map could easily be extracted and used in gmod, because half life mapping has two options that of the long and hard way or using models and unless they've rewritten everything for their version of sources mapping. player huds would be pretty simple and the titan could be done also, because it has enough to be setup as a player model.

The amount of ents in them is just sheer bollocks compared to OB branch games and they have a lot more model based mapping than BSP based mapping compared to OB games.

Dark One -- It seems you'd rather ask people to repost info for you in a special answer to your question rather than you simply taking the time to read anything. Reading a thread to make sure your questions haven't already been answered is not "stalking" a thread; it's just making sure you don't waste anyone's time or ask noobie questions. You also seem to think your ideas and conjectures are somehow informed or wise despite your evident lack of attention/knowledge. You would do well to post less and read more. In other news, I've taken screens of all the raw human models. I will post later in the evening for those curious.
I've checked this thread twice and i'm having trouble understanding what I need to do to get a model working for sfm, if someone could list the process for ripping the files and converting them I would appreciate it a lot.. or if anyone has any download links for sfm models even better!
