I am trying to rig a titan in Cinema 4D, this is as far as I have got (gotta do the other arm, weighting robots is a nightmare, and I'm a noob) If anyone has the weapons for titans in .c4d .fbx or .obj that would be helpful I will release when the job is finished if anyone wants it. Well, something for Gmod wouldn't be bad...
dun know if its in the right section, is it possible and easy to swap titanfall's hitmarker sound clip to CoD:MW2's hitmarker sound? i personally prefer cod's hitmarker sound more, felt more impact and organic.

Also, why is this thread dead!? . I was waiting a long time ago for something to Gmod or SFM, and the most helpful thing was a pack of directly extracted things :I
hue, I recently found out there is a burn card that can turn you into a Spectre (It's called Spectre Camo), I might try to make that permanent (Through mods of course) and make it so the view models are always spectre (as the card does indeed replace the view models). If I try I could also change the mod owners model into spectre too. I just need to learn a bit about modding in the source engine.

How the extraction and repack are working? If we select for extraction a _dir.vpk file, how can we repack that same _dir.vpk file with some mod? because actually the repack tool repack everything listed in _dir.vpk file, right?
Yes that is correct. The next version of the vpk tool will support .bpk archives from the xbox360 version of the game along with a new tool called the ROM Repacker Basically what the ROM repacker does is firstly ask for a vpk you wish to repack than you supply files which you would like packed into that existing vpk and it will override the vpk if the folder you supply contains files already present in the vpk. If the files are not present it will just append to the vpk. This makes modding a lot easier because you don't have to repack e entire archive to mod the game. Additionally there will be an option to revert changes from a vpk so no need to backup the vpk your modding especially the main one which is like 12gb. Look forward to the update!

Is this not a modelling thread anymore...? Should probably have it moved to that general video games thread since porting has been abandoned.
Would appreciate some Militia pilot models.
Is this not a modelling thread anymore...? Should probably have it moved to that general video games thread since porting has been abandoned.
It is? Darn, I'd just gotten around to fiddling with the weapons [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/586910002281776094/A3EE23EDDDB0CDA810E84D445E32DEFDB2522138/[/t] I know we already have props of the weapons but unless there's another set that I'm unaware of they're just the game's v models run through that dx11-dx90 bat. I thought I'd try giving them some proper body groupings and all. Although I shudder to think about how tricky it's going to be to open the B3 since the decompiler fried the animations.
Well, i honestly would like to see the Grunts, more specifically the Militia ones, i mean, they look so damn sexy [editline]26th July 2014[/editline]
Well, since nobody else has done so yet, I am gonna do up the titanfall pilots properly, with pose phys and SFM compatibility, got all of the males prepped, just need to export, compile, and hook up shaders (and perhaps make face flexes, but the joint tool works...) [t]http://puu.sh/9N7IJ/3cc0f1dcd7.jpg[/t]
Any progress?
Is this not a modelling thread anymore...? Should probably have it moved to that general video games thread since porting has been abandoned.
it still is I plan on porting the maps when I figure out the format.
Is this not a modelling thread anymore...?
It would be nice to see more ports or port progress from a porting thread.
with it now not being a port thread, time to change that. I'm almost done fixing the atlas's fingers for GMOD, it's a tricky process and iv being attaching the cockpit model to the actual Titan, ill probably stop doing that now because of how useless it is, so if all gose to plan I'll upload it later today

yea, I wasn't compiling them correctly, wile searching up how to open .qc files I found something called context, it allowed u to put the file into anprogram if needed so I set it up for the smd program and then when done removing jx_front I open it up in it an it worked, once I figured it out I open it up with notepad++ and edited it better then compiled it, but it dose give it a wonky leg due to how it was rigged :\
Posting links again in case anyone wants to mess with the Pilots/Grunts. Pilots: http://www.mediafire.com/download/eye56eezr6epzcb/titanfall_pilots_v1.11.7z Grunts: http://www.mediafire.com/download/e11wm482ylmpgon/Grunts.7z They work in SFM, but I don't know anything about VTFs, rigging and such so uh... yeah.

Could this work in Gmod? Edit: Oh, i see, both of 'em. Are they on it's original .phy file?
I didn't do anything to them except change the VTFs a bit. Apparently they somewhat work in GMod, but I haven't tried it myself.

Hello, I'm new to this thread I have been looking around on the pages for the interior of the Titan and the animations, but I haven't been able to find ether of these. Has someone already done this, or is someone working on it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

Wow! Thanks for the fast reply! :v: I forgot to mention in my post that I needed the models in a .obj format. Since what you sent me is the RAW files, do you know of any way to convert them? Btw, I'm using a Mac, so if there is a program for Mac to convert the files, I will happily convert them myself. Again, thank you for the reply!

If it's not compatible with Mac computers, then consider doing a quick Google search to look around for something that's Mac compatible.
Okay! I'll try out crowbar and see if it works! Thanks for your help!
Has anyone had problems with the latest titanfall update? Because it crashes and yeah Seems to be dividing by 0 :S
Has anyone had problems with the latest titanfall update? Because it crashes and yeah Seems to be dividing by 0 :S
I've yet to reinstall & update Titanfall to test that. I'll get back to you with the results.
I've yet to reinstall & update Titanfall to test that.
Blogpost thing http://dev.cra0kalo.com/?p=137
I hate to ask, but does anyone have the sound files that open correctly with audacity? I had Titanfall when Origin had the free weekend and extracted the sounds from there and uninstalled Titanfall once the weekend was over. Unfortunately, this was before the update which fixed the Audacity problem and it's pretty annoying.
Well, here's the thing. Titanfall's sound library is MASSIVE. We're talking 11.5GB just for Music, SFX & English VO, with the rest amounting to 35GB of beautiful, uncompressed audio (Much to the dismay of gamers with small hard-drives & long download times, but to the joy of us audiophiliacs, sound extractors & Source modders!). So unless we have someone here with the upload speeds & connection reliability capable of it (and whilst I enjoy up to 2mb/sec download speeds, uploading files above 2GB onto MediaFire is not a reliable process for me), I'd say you're far better off searching for a PC DVD copy of Titanfall, as not only that they're MUCH cheaper than the common price on Origin (Ex. New Titanfall PC DVD sold on Amazon UK for £23.99, whilst Origin selling £44.99 disregarding current half-price sale, but that's assuming you're not looking for a Used Copy), it also saves you a 50GB download, and whenever an update comes out with new sounds from the DLCs, you can just reinstall whenever's convenient without redownloading 50GBs. There is the Origin Great Game Guarantee that allows you to refund a game "within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first.", but I don't know how that works, especially after you've played a free weekend, so I'm not going to recommend you exploit that system to grab the .VPKs. Sorry lad.
ok cool, update btw
3.3 -Fixed extract all dialog window saving incorrect folder path location. -Fixed issue with application settings save -Removed debug SelectedPath/InitialDirectory constants -Implemented additional audio patcher (fixes extraction errors for good!) When I get some spare time to reinstall & update Titanfall, I'll be sure to give it a spin & let you know if I encounter any errors like the one you brought up.
Ok, I have spent the past few days trying to figure out how to rip the models through a mac. Lets just say it's impossible. :suicide: So could anyone please help me by extracting the interior of the titan? I would appreciate it. Don't think I'm lazy because I'm asking for help. I've TRIED to rip the models by myself, but I can't! I've tried everything. :(
