It's only temporary, don't worry. EA decided to throw Titanfall onto their 'Game Time' thing for Origin, so it's only capable of being played for up to 48 hours before the player has to buy a copy of the game. Think of it as a limited-time demo of the full game. I still think it's bullshit that the game requires a 64-bit OS, though. I heard there was more content added to the game recently (not sure if that's true), so I would've installed it and taken the time to update that content pack I released a while ago. It's like there's no love for 32-bit anymore. :v:
They added a new map DLC recently, and a while before that there was Titan insignias and voices.

I remember extracting about 30 GB of data from the game, and it was literally just the uncompressed sound files. I still don't understand why they weren't compressed, either.

Granted, they could have compressed even a little bit to save space, but they decided against that, too. EDIT: Apparently it was so lower-end PC's could play the game more smoothly, and having uncompressed sound files gives unnoticeable performance improvement on mid or high-end PC's.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't leaving the sound files uncompressed and therefore several times larger in file size than necessary actually lead to a decrease in performance? I don't know about anyone else, but I've always noticed that the larger something is in overall file size, the more strain it seems to put on the system.

Otherwise, large files just take up space and make your computer have to preload certain files if it thinks you're going to open them. But I do agree, it's a dumb idea. Only lower-end computers got any real benefit, and even then it wasn't good enough to make up for the extra 35Gb of computer space.

T/\T my titanfall won't connect to the servers
Implemented crude unpacking of xbox bpks still no idea where the filenames are they might be hashed i dunno lets see how similar these bsps are to Portal2 maybe they will load
There is something seriously wrong with my titanfall, I can't do the training because when I have to sprint through the tunnel, I sprint and don't make it, I had to sprint through the walk tunnel and just made it, and the animations have just gone fuck it (there acting as if there not compiled)
I always wondered why grunts and the CQB pilots have facebones if they'r expresion in-game is practictly always a blank one... However, that's going to be a butthurt when i'll try to make 'em more flexible and also give them faceposing compatibility...
Or you could just put them in SFM and not have to worry about the ragdoll nonsense.
Or you could just put them in SFM and not have to worry about the ragdoll nonsense.
Not everyone is capable of using SFM for varying reasons, dude. If they happen to be unable to use SFM, then a GMod ragdoll would be the only other option.
That and there are those of us who tried both successfully and still prefer GMod.
I love it when those who aren't even that good with SFM talk a big game. Unless you're one of the more popular SFM users such as Cpt., Norpo, Urbanator or any of the other greats I may of missed, it's kind of hard to take your word.
Holy fucking shit you people are impossible. Do you really have to disagree with every bit of input I have to say and derail the thread by stating how low I am? Jesus Christ. I won't post here anymore if I'm just that fucking insufferable.
Do you really have to disagree with every bit of input I have to say
When you're telling people to not bother with making ragdolls and just stick to SFM models, yes. Like I stated before, not everyone is capable of using SFM, so the only other alternative for those who can't use SFM to work with the models is to use a GMod ragdoll instead. And like lonefirewarrior stated, some people still prefer GMod over SFM, so that's another reason to still make ragdolls with these models.
and derail the thread by stating how low I am?
One person made that statement, nobody else. Not that hard to ignore the post, really.

Yeah, uh, pardon my french, but you're a fucking asshole. Your little Titanfall unpacker thing attempted to install a Trojan THREE times. Tried four different antiviruses on it, came up a Trojan every time.

There have been several other people in this thread (myself included) who have used that program, and there aren't any viruses in the program. Edit: In fact, it would probably be ideal for you to take screenshots of the warnings you get when trying to use the program. I actually just got done scanning the program over a few times with a few different scanning programs, and nothing came up at all.

Only reason that you have these Trojan warnings would either be because your AV-program is over-sensitive or because you downloaded the program from another site rather than Cra0's official site/link for it.
Pretty sure it's not "false flags" if 4 different antiviruses all come up with trojans.
Well, considering that you're literally the only person that's coming across trojans when using the program, I'd have to assume that either you downloaded it from somewhere else or you are using anti-virus programs that are well known for throwing false flags/being garbage in general. What anti-virus programs did you use to scan the program?
Yeah, uh, pardon my french, but you're a fucking asshole. Your little Titanfall unpacker thing attempted to install a Trojan THREE times. Also, just run it and try it by yourself to proove it...

That video is showing exactly what was stated before; your anti-virus is throwing a false flag. And like most anti-virus programs that detect anything, it usually deletes/quarantines the file in question before any action can be taken by the user. You need to either make an exception for the program in your anti-virus before you have it update or make adjustments to Avast so that it isn't being so anal about letting the program connect to the internet to update itself. I can guarantee you from personal experience with the program that there are no viruses whatsoever for the Titanfall unpacker. I even uploaded a pack of content a few pages back that involved using the very same program you're claiming is a trojan, but the video you provided is simply showing that Avast is blocking the unpacker from connecting to the internet and updating itself to the latest version.
Yes, I should just run it again and get another virus! Here's a video. https://vid.me/wPh
Just turn it off whenever you are going to use the tool, i have AVG wich detects HL2.exe; csgo.exe; codmw2mp.exe and many other .EXE files, but they aren't viruses... You will see it, that's a false flag man
Just turn it off whenever you are going to use the tool, i have AVG wich detects HL2.exe; csgo.exe; codmw2mp.exe and many other .EXE files, but they aren't viruses... You will see it, that's a false flag man
I very highly doubt that. Also, it's AVG. Still, no antivirus is stupid enough to think a game is a virus, you're probably exaggerating. Also, why would it have to update when the OP can just change the link to download the newest version? Why is the updater a completely different style from the program itself? Why does the updater have flashy graphics flying all around to distract you? Because it's a virus. It was tacked on as an afterthought, probably isn't downloading an update at all. Just a Trojan called "update.exe". The funny thing is, I actually DID make an exception for that folder. You can see the Avast window in the background, but it's covered up by the Facepunch thread. EDIT: Yeah, you are exaggerating.
