it is ironic that the grunts were made into player models instead of the pilots.
I asked Lenoax to make only the grunts, it's like i enjoy more the grunt models than the pilot ones (except for the CQB class, those look awesome)

Maybe i should tell him to make one pilot model with all the rest of the pilots gear, helmets 'n stuff as bodygroups into one single model, like the grunts above
Rama, I don't think that would work. Many of the heads and bodies wouldn't match properly. Besides with the pilots I believe it's all one model, with their not being variation in pilots of any class or faction.

Most of the stuff that this guy made matches (Not everything, but yeah). If you mean mixing up the factions in one single model, that wasn't the idea. Such a shame that he removed the normals "because they were too shinny"

Why wouldn't you get pilots done as well? These are public releases no? I don't think you "enjoying" the grunts over the pilots warrants only half the material at hand.
Just thinking about the bigger picture.
I do enjoy what i think it looks good, and overall i think that the grunts look a little better than the pilots, for me obviously. The only why they were made is because we didn't had anything to do in the middle of the boredom and i came with "Hey, why don't you try this out? (...)"... And again, i do enjoy what i want to enjoy, if you have a different opinion, then it's just another personal opinion.

Yeah, CQB's, Marksmens and Assault pilots.
Anyone know about porting Macallan, Graves, Blisk and Bish? How about dropships and misc props?

I'm not telling you to not enjoy your work, I just think that with public releases of these models there's an expectation that if you're going to port just the grunts, you should port the pilots too.
I'm not concerned though. Someone else will probably come along and do everything anyway so do what you can do in the mean time.
I really need to get around to updating/re-uploading that content pack I uploaded before. The old link is dead due to reasons (main reason being that I forgot my Mega info and neglected to keep another backup :v:), so I think I might take tomorrow to re-install the game and re-upload the whole pack.

I also wanted to note that the VPK repacker gives me an unhandled exception unless I disable the repacking log. The textures also seem too bright, as experienced earlier in the thread. I'll try enabling the compression option to see if that fixes anything. Great work here.

Yeah. I was reading through the whole thread today to see what had been accomplished. I tested the repacker just today and I wanted to post my results. No crashes or anything.
Edit: I tried the repacker with compression enabled. After taking forever to recompress, the textures are still too bright, and it actually created some more issues, making the DLC images on the main lobby screen a solid white rectangle.

He's not obligated to port anything. Just because he likes one set of models, doesn't mean he has to get everything else too. Like he said, he works on what he likes/enjoys, not what people tell him to.

Well, I tried replacing one of the player definition files with the Spectre definition used for Spectre Camo.

I guess I did something wrong. Hehe.
Based on my testing, it seems that only 2D textures have the brightness issues. Textures applied to 3D geometry are fine. For example, my custom insignia, while far too bright in the menu screen I posted already, looks perfect on my in-game Titan.

Perhaps I'll try sound and model editing sometime, though I have no idea what the best settings are for Crowbar recompiling or Blender exporting. Any suggestions would be great.

That brightness issue could be something like they are storing the gamma and brightness inside the vpks but they are not referenceed in the directory file. Ill look into this
Do the textures for the menu and the titans have to be the same? If not you could always just make the menu one darker.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's part of the problem. The textures are referenced from the same file. Also, it would be far too painstaking to figure out which textures are giving issues and correct each one.

Oops...my bad, I actually forgot to include the password in my previous post. It hasn't changed since the last resource pack, but I'll go ahead and add it to my previous post again.
I'm going to upload some images of Blisk, i'm working on him, give me some minutes and those will be here... (Well, Lenoax is working on him, i'm helping him if a problem surges)

Also, can somebody upload the c_models with theyr textures from the Spectres? I don't want to download 5GB's just to extract a model and 2 skingroups for it.
Ditto for the titans and their guns, my HDD is short on space cause of GTAV.

I'll see if we do more special characters, we are now currently planning to do the spectres and if everything goes well, they will use Titanfall's c_models
Has anybody been able to get the original animations to work with the Grunts, or is that still screwed up?
