Good luck finding someone willing to upload 9GBs of files...
I'd be more than willing to do that if I could get a hold of the game.
You wouldn't gain any quality if you went from lossy > lossless right? That seems kinda backwards.
It might seem backwards, but it would be better to not gain or lose any quality with one format than to lose a bit of quality with another format.

Still alot of work to be done, tweaks, recompile etc.

You actually lose 0% of quality when converting from vtf to dds I dont touch the image data in anyway. Now if the guy who made vtfedit actually let me I could update it to support these dx11 formats.

why does it look similar to a world war II bomber?
Tried to add animations from game but something is really wrong.
why does it look similar to a world war II bomber?
Good question, although when seen from above it looks less like a WW2 aircraft and more like a futuristic dropship.
Alright here is Sarah at the request of MrGameboy2012

That would be wonderful. I'll have to e-mail the creator of Wall Worm to see if he can update the SMD importer so it won't break the bones upon import.
You wouldn't gain any quality if you went from lossy > lossless right? That seems kinda backwards.
I know I won't gain quality. But considering a DDS file is semi useless on it's own, you're going to be editing and resaving it quite a bit before converting to yet another lossy format. So a lossless format is better.
Cool thanks,Any chance you could tell me what program you used to convert them and possible a link to it?
use noesis
Note:
this not look next-gen :(

it's not next gen, its transitional gen
most games are gonna be like that for a bit until most developers start focusing exclusively on the ps4 + xbone

soruce engine what do you expect? its like using cryengine 1 on a new system doesn't make it better it just means your using that with newer hardware and maybe few million edits.
The source engine is actually really nice, and to top it all off, they were not using full resolution graphics for the beta. Best bet if you all want better textures, is to wait and compare. I'm not 100% sure on the credibility of this, but like BF4, seems to be the case
Two pictures of Macallan in Fallout... well, Sam Fisher took his outfit in one.

The Source Engine is just barely under 10 years old. Considering the age, it still looks pretty remarkable, even without the small additions orange box and other recent games have been slowly adding. Not to mention it's one of the few engines that can look half decent on modern machines while still running with pretty solid performance on really old toaster computers. It may not have super ultra-realistic next-gen graphics, but that doesn't make it a bad engine.
I think one of the goals of the engine was to make it run at decent framerates on lots of different spec computers. Not everyone can have an awesome gaming machine to play BF4 on ultra, but a lot of people can enjoy CS:GO, TF2, and Dota2 even on laptops. I'm expecting Source games to run pretty well even on Steam machines.
Anyway, back to Titanfall. I'm having trouble with some models not showing AO at all. In SFM, when I turn on AO only, I don't even see the Titans which might explain why it looks kinda crappy. Any ideas on how to fix missing AO? The Titan sniper rifle has this problem, too.

Finally got Crowbar working

Anyone interested in sending me the raw files for props? (static vehicles, scenery, etc)
I know everyone is thinking about characters and Titans right now, but the scenery in the game is really nice looking ^^;

Updated the Atlas Titan files to include the "Redeye" textures too.
(Yes I know the cameras are green in the render... It would look bad with 2 titans with red eyes imo.)

9GBs wow ok then all ill ask for is an atlas mech, a titan pilot and some wepons (one for titan pilot and one for titan) (GMOD format)
Where did you get a model decompiler that also does animations?

I exported the mdls with both cannonfodder's studiocompiler to export the animations and crowbar to export the dmx's (models and such), animations that are less than 100 will come out perfectly, everything above that will break eventually, waiting for crowbar 0.13 :D
Made a handy little .bat for converting the dx11.vtx to dx90.vtx and dx80.vtx

yes, devs confirmed on twitter that the textures in the beta were reduced to keep the download size of the alpha down

FYI that says alpha and xbox one users were the only ones to get the alpha and that was back in January and what we pc players got to test was the "Beta" and that happen a couple weeks ago.
Trying out the pilots. These bodygroups are going to kill me. They also come out weirdly underlit for some reason.

That was specifically in regards to the X1's alpha (closed test before the beta), which were noticeably lower resolution.
I wonder if that means the final game will be more resource-heavy?
If anything it should be more optimized and run better.
