You just need to export them in a file format that supports rigs. Most animations don't work unfortunately, but the ones that do can be imported with Blender Source Tools, just like the models.

Hi :D Ok so Ripping stuff from the game has proved very interesting and in a strange way fun :D I am more confident that the Video I have in mind is gonna happen, check out this cool Gun I took out of the game the XO-16 Chaingun and textures, also ripped the Textures.... :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUjysflcgo8&feature=youtu.be [editline]29th February 2016[/editline]
The rigging should of imported with the models, most of the models i have imported have fully working bones so why would anyone wanna rig it when it has perfectly working bones from the game?
The bones you are talking about, are you using them in Blender? I exported it all as an OBJ so I can use stuff in Cinema 4D because I want to make some kind of animation but the bones do not work in C4D.... maybe I am doing it wrong? [editline]29th February 2016[/editline]
Took the liberty of doing a basic rig for the titans (Everything rigged pretty much, except for the wires/pistons/foot joints). Made a render as well. If anyone would like to use it for something in GMOD, let me know! -Matt
Hi :D I would like to make some animation with these models, i know how to get them out from the game and all but having trouble with the rigs, I want to make the animation in Cinema 4D but the games rig does not work there, do you maybe know why?
OBJ doesn't support bones. Try another export format. Perhaps Collada would work for you.

Hi :d Ok so I am trying to texture the POV of the Cockpit but I am having trouble, anyone know why I am getting these results? A few days ago when I did the same to test it out it was all fine........ http://imgur.com/3NpgEPm
Finally got Crowbar working
How did you get Sarah to look this good when i textured her her hair was a bit blocky/pixelated.....
How did you extract the models and textures? If you went through the normal process of decompiling the assets from the game and decompiling the models with crowbar, then the textures should be loaded fine. Her hair is spread out into three textures, all of which are 512^2 and the actual hair heavily relying on it's alpha channel for transparency.
So I was never able to figure out the giant railgun

If you look at the picture you will see what i mean :D http://imgur.com/03FWeLe
I believe you would need to decompile the first-person mesh for it, which would be located in models\weapons\arms\atlaspov and models\weapons\arms\atlaspov_cockpit2. OTherwise, all the correct mesh parts are in models\titans\atlas.

Maybe you can tell me what do to?

As far as I'm aware, Cinema4D doesn't really require the .VMT files for the models, so you don't really need to convert the .VMT files at all.

I tried to get the Cockpit FPV and use the doors for that because the doors I got from the Whole model of Atlas are textured kind of strange, and I do have the right textures on them, Also the Head of Atlas is maybe to big, but I can fix this by pulling it out a little, if you look at the picture you will see what I mean, pay attention to the INNER parts of the upper and lower door.... :D All the other textures are good. I've personally only ever fiddled with the weapons and a few character models, so I haven't really done anything with the titans themselves. However, if the model is pointing to the .VMT file (which is a common thing), I'd advise examining the .VMT file and looking at the $basetexture line for it. That will usually point you to the actual texture file you're looking for (which is usually named similarly to the .VMT, but with _col added to the end of the name).

Has anyone had any trouble Exporting the battle_rifle_mcor_male_pilot? I am having trouble with it. The problem is that in the textures folder there are textures for the FRINGE and the GEAR, but when I export the model, in no matter what format these parts are not a separate MESH so I can not apply the Textures to them, the Fringe and the Gear are part of the Body Mesh.........?
Finally I have managed to rip and texture the models I wanted :D The pilots FRINGE part is still strange, the normal map is not making it look like it is torn......? But overall I am happy :D Now to Rig and animate them :D http://imgur.com/FcKEp1Q
You realize that they already have all their animations from the game itself? If you decompiled the models, you should have everything, so there's no need to animate them yourself.

YEEEEAAAAHHHH!!! :D I hope to be able to rip stuff out of this one also :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ1r2f1Jv0Y

And nobody still not port titans to gmod or sfm ):
I'll be honest and say I got lazy with my porting and also school and work swallowed my free time so as a result I just ended up forgetting about this. I think there are rumours going around that it uses UE4 this time around based upon a job opening asking for UE4 experience.
since I can dodge guilt for bumping the thread. am I insane or are the titans really hard to find downloads of. did I miss them somewhere? did they not get released?
since I can dodge guilt for bumping the thread. am I insane or are the titans really hard to find downloads of. did I miss them somewhere? did they not get released?
I remember there was some weapons in steam workshop, but now they're gone.

There were some titan weapons and some of the pilot weapons on the workshop before, but they seem to have been taken down like Devil Traitor stated.
