[img]http://i.imgur.com/1psZxTl.jpg[/img] (old picture that i took a while ago, and since i hadn't anything else prepared) [url]http://www.mediafire.com/file/1pt8dw04tmv5rem/titans_gmod.zip[/url] let me know if iv missed any files ill put these on the workshop soon[/QUOTE] these models are pretty nice and im p sure they arent intended for SFM use but i found a few issues with them: theres a bunch of bones that control absolutely nothing and basically just exist for no reason when using the second, broken bodygroup on the titans, there's a flickering missing texture under the broken chassis (maybe its intended to be electricity? who knows) i tried using an IK rig with the model and it worked fine except for the hands which didnt work at all. im pretty sure you wouldnt want to bother renaming all these bones to valvebiped but i guess that might just be some sfm-exclusive error who knows lol

Question, which I'm sure I'll get shit for... I am really new to this but want to be able to help in the future.... what program do I use to open the model files, like the weapons so I can edit and export as different file types?

I'm going to go out on a limb as assume that the remainder of the mdl-related files (vtx, phy, vvd) are in those rpak and starpak archives, because even though TF2 is a modified Source Engine I don't think Respawn re-wrote the entire model file type format.

You just need Crowbar to decompile the .mdl files to get the .smd files. Then you can import them into Blender/Max/whatever.

I wouldn't know. It looks like you're using Wall Worm's Source tools, which I actively avoid because I despise them.

Milkshape's importer is also old as hell, I've seen multiple people ask on the Crowbar Steam forums if Crowbar is to blame and a lot of people just didn't know that Milkshape's isn't really made for it. Also it's just better to use Wunderboy's importer on 3ds Max 2012 since it somehow works on any and all SMD's. I can't name a single time Wunderboy's plugins broke something for me compared to any other importer/exporter.

Instead, I mostly use Blender for porting to Source because: A) I like Blender's UI more than 3DS Max B) Blender isn't slow and clunky C) Free .dmx support If you're still wanting to use 3DS Max, use the 2012 version with Wunderboy's plugins. They still work just fine on pretty much everything.

The skyboxes for Titanfall are models. I used one from the Lagoon map in an image I made a while ago.

Hello, I'm a bit new to this. I was wondering if it is possible to get some help. I downloaded the [URL="https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1367767&p=47810330&viewfull=1#post47810330"]resource pack[/URL] that was linked a while back. I got as far as to import the models into Blender, Managed to only get the color texture (no normal map or spectacular map though I do want those) but am unable to port them over to Source. Any help would be fantastic! My Google-fu isn't doing me well with this :/ I have also skimmed all pages of this thread but was not able to get a good understanding, sadly. Thank you in advace! well this looks interesting [IMG]http://i1.2pcdn.com/node14/image/article/201612/01/20161201034210a0ektm6qvdjeb8jm.jpg[/IMG] its the free Korean version of Titanfall 1, from the looks of some gameplay its pretty much the same game but the titans work and look a bit differently plus the addition of a new titan, a new map and a weapon apparently there was a beta for it, the main page says its coming soon but there appears to be a download for it already, i tried to download it but i get some prompt that doesn't get translated so i have no idea what it wants. this could give us something to do until the .rpaks get figured out

I'd forgotten all about that! I looked into it. A test week happened back in December. We can't download it because it's either a closed test or simply because they aren't testing right now.
