this is a IMC soldier without decompiling the mdl

I will try to contact to ZeqMacaw, maybe he can share some info about the formats.

And what do you mean when you say that you have the faces separately? Cause if you mean what I think you mean I might be able to help....
And what do you mean when you say that you have the faces separately?
a 3d model usually is composed by different type of data that are reprecented by patterns. thats mean that there are vertices, indices (faces) uvs, normals, etc.
for obtain a correct 3d models, you have to fit the Indices (faces) with the vertices data.
I use some hexadecimal blahs blahs for this, but there is no range of error because all works under some mathematical calculus, if something fails will be impossible to obtain a correct mesh.
I'm using hex2obj for doing this but how I said, is not possible to fit the indices with the vertices, I don't know why.

Oh I see. Nevermind, that is way too advanced for me I was thinking of something else.
So are we any close to getting the titan or weapon models from Titanfall 2? Or just limited to GPA ripping for maps and other static models?

Well afte luxox_18 contacts ZeqMacaw (creator of crowbar) we should have the models soon I think. So until we will just keep trying our best I guess.
iv been trying to get intel GPA to attach to Titanfall 2 to get better results with the textures since Ninja ripper has a nasty habit of greatly darkening its diffuse/base textures, however it fails to attach every time i try to run it. i'm using the latest versions of TF2 and IGPA and with detect applications on. iv tried well over 30 times and it fails every single time. not sure whats wrong with it, anyone got any ideas?
Outside of things like Ninja Ripper and Intel GPA, has there been any progress in terms of getting a hold of the textures for the Titanfall 2 models? It doesn't seem like the textures can be extracted from the files in the installation directory (unless I completely missed it in this thread).

To attach Intel GPA, make sure that the "auto-detect launched applications" option is checked in the preferences. Make sure secure boot is disabled. then launch TF2 through Intel GPA and the first time it fails but the next time it works.

No you can't extract the textures from the game files yet, however you can use GPA to extract textures for each model you want.
Edit: Also ninjaripper does not work in anyway.

Alright, thanks for the info. As for Ninja Ripper, I could have sworn I heard about a few people that were successful in grabbing some textures via Ninja Ripper, though I may be remembering incorrectly if you're saying that it doesn't work at all.

So far the closest we've gotten is where luxox_18 pulled out the vertices of the models. Until he gets in touch with ZeqMacaw, and hopefully push out a new update to crowbar that supports MDL v53, we would have to just use GPA for textures and static meshes.

that's what iv been doing and it fails every time

Do you have secure boot switched off?
Do you have secure boot switched off?
ah, that worked, thank you

No Problem

Thanks! So is the crowbar update for SFM? I.e if I am only interested in the mesh and textures I can just use GPA with the settings that is described in this thread for ripping titans and weapons?
ZeqMacaw has not answered :(
The mdl file that contens all info for vinculate vertex data (VVD) and faces (VTX) is different from previous versions of mds files. Sincerelly is a pain in the ass this, I need someone expert in mdl formats.

Any progress so far
I'm sorry I don't have free time like I did 2 years ago. I've also to be honest have lost interest in this project. I want to motivate myself to finish off the rpak compression cipher but I just can't at this stage. Not saying I've given up but at this point in time I'm not actively working on this.

All good man, but if anything comes out make sure to inform us.
I don't think cra0 even needs to work on the rpak/starpak files anymore, after we get MDL v53 support from ZeqMacaw we can use Intel GPA to get the textures, i doubt we would be using be using the game's VMTs anyways and that's likely what the rpak/starpak files contain, just VTFs and VMTs. There is however still the matter of sound files which from some quick digging around would suggest that there in general.mbnk which like everything else Respawn uses the file format happens to be completely unknown by the entirety of the internet.
8 days 13 hours. Still waiting for Crowbar v53 mdl support.

luxox_18 any progress so far?
I can extract models but without bones and animations, only in obj format because are not decompiled.

Horry muda ov gawd!
Do you have a program or something. Or is it some trick with Intel GPA. Cause I really don't care about animation I just love the models

Man you're awesome. Think you could grab the 6-4 characters? Specifically Gates, if you have the time.
What are the chances of getting militia grunts?

If you go to his Deviantart page he takes commissions on specific characters from games he can get models out of that people want.
