And can you say, with what help did you extract the 3d models?
That I myself tried to do this?
I tried to use 3D Ripper DX and NinjaRipper but nothing happened.
check some of the previous posts. They might help. If i recall correctly, you need hex2obj or something like that.
hex2obj for models with no lod meshes.
hex2obj+ram dump+intelgpa+ninjaripper in models with lod meshes.
if you want to try to extract models read the respective tutorial of hex2obj in xentax forum.
Then take the original mdl file extracted with the VPK tool by Cra0 and locate the highest lod of the mesh using the pointcloud option. in that mdl file, copy a vertex section (10 bytes apporx is necessary) and search them in the ram dump. then copy the entire section of the model and create a new file. analize that file in hex2obj and export the mesh.
then execute frameanalizer from IntelGPA with ninjaripper and capture the respective UV of the model.
import that model in 3ds max and save the uv data, then load the uv to the exported mesh from hex2obj
the vertex section in the mdl start with the string IDSV (some bytes after), the vertex size is 48 and all faces start with pattern 00 00 01 00 02. (all meshes are merged. for locate the meshes after the first model, you must calculate the -" number of vertices * 48 (vertex size)" , then convert the number to hex and add that number to the vertex start address in hexadecimal, this will give you the start address of the vertices of the next submesh)
the dumped models of ram doesn't have uvs and the vertex size is 40. use the faces from the original mdl for save time.
if you don't understandis because you don't have the enough knowledge and/or experience, sorry.
also, sincerely I recommend to wait for a decompiler.
yeah i think this is the one. This is the guide on how to port stuff.
Hey guys , While we hope they can give permission to port the titanfall 2 models
I think this would be quite interesting to look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6uqW7bXmeg
Did anyone had any luck decompiling the maps?
Did anyone had any luck decompiling the maps?
Due to a cease and desist request from EA, no.

They don't really look good enough to port. There are very few reasons to port from mobile games, IMO.

Iv already tried actually, Nexon seem to do something to their files, the extractor I use for Unity games (Unity Studio) is a very good one since it can extract entire Unity scenes, this also includes rigged models n such, but the scenes for a majority (like 85%?) of what should be there isn't, this also goes for Titanfall Frontline. Iv used it on many mobile games as well and they all come out fine, it's only Nexon's games that don't seem to work.
Odd, that's exactly what I did. perhaps you saw the tick but didn't know it was the tick?(might need to rotate the models a bit to get the lighting to show some of the model's details, its happened to me a few times) As you go down the list in some cases the models will tend to deform but that usually only happens on the less flat ergs and more complex models.
Could you try the same thing in the new version of titanfall? I've tried everything exactly the way you showed, but I can only see flat surfaces, UV maps, and sort of "splinters". I even tried browsing around the .gpa_frame file you sent for about 20 minutes, and I couldn't find anything (I clicked the VS button, and I also tried without it)
Has anyone still got either the raw files or the port of the Spectres from Titanfall 2? I've been looking to work on them for awhile, as the one currently available on the workshop is abit lack-luster. (Meaning the Gmod Workshop, as there isn't one at all on SFM's Shop)
If anyone has it still, I'd love to discuss trying to get it rigged and give it some attention.

This is my current progress on the available model on the Gmod Workshop. While I've fixed the skinfamilies and the proportions, along with put it onto the HL2 Combine animations, but as you can see the texture quality from the rip itself was slightly compressed. (And the shaders are fucked.) Wasn't sure if this was due to poor porting or bad ripping.
I can help fix the shaders, but the Spectres' materials have always been pretty muddy, resolution wise iirc. Nothing to do with the porting.

Alright, if anyone's got the original rip then it'd be good to re-rig and maybe give abit of re-vamping to them. I know a guy who'd maybe be willing to work to get the materials up a grade.
Also, has anyone by chance got access to the Spectre sound assets?

So this guy has some Titanfall 2 sounds here. He updates it sometimes, so one day he might post the Spectre sounds. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_WnmCVK2MAJQVpWdEtQUXkzdEk

Nice nice! I would download it fast. I believe there are a couple of Respawn employees lurking on this thread giving takedown notices on this kind of stuff.
I do understand why they do what they do, but it still sucks that they are now cracking down on it when they let it slide for TF1 :/.
Hopefully in the future Respawn will allow us to rip stuff again so this thread can gain some traction.

Pretty sure its EA wanting to take down this stuff. If I recall correctly, luxox got an e-mail from EA not to post anymore Titanfall 2 stuff.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure the guy is recording the sounds, not extracting them from the game files, if that helps.
Damn, sad to see EA halting the ripping process. Hopefully they will not disallow this from their other games.

we still have tf1 models tho

Yeah those dont work well, the skeleton is fucked up and we cant decompile them to fix them

yep. but its a start. didn't soul_ say he'd remake them?
Has anyone looked into that F2P TitanFall game? Are we allowed to extract from that game?
Has anyone looked into that F2P TitanFall game? Are we allowed to extract from that game?
I haven't heard anything about being restricted from attempting to extract from that game, so I think it might be okay. I haven't attempted trying to extract content from that game myself though, as I haven't been able to find a download for it to even look through the files.

I'm trying to download the game right now. If I can get it downloaded would you guys want a download link for the content files?

It would definitely be appreciated.

Some jackass here on the forums uploaded the entirety of Titanfall 1's models/materials assets for literally anyone to download last year, which is probably why Respawn specifically asked us not to port from Titanfall 2. So, I'd say probably not.
Is TFO even possible to download without being in South Korea?
Yeah, linking all of the Titanfall 1 assets was a bad move on my part. Sorry about that. Didn't really think it would be a problem since they said it was okay to port from the game, and people kept asking for content from the game in general, so I thought it wouldn't be an issue. I was clearly wrong about that, so that's all on me.
Besides, I actually got a notice about that recently, so I've already removed the download from my account. No idea how much longer the link will remain active, but I already went ahead and asked huntingrifle to remove the old download link since it most likely won't be up for too much longer.
It looks like the game hasn't come out yet. But is being released tomorrow (or Thursday because time zones ) . The website and the facebook page seem to confirm this.

( It says TitanPole sometimes because korean shares the symbol for 'pole' and 'fall' which makes Google Translate go funny. )

I'll be sure to download it as soon as it is released.

I have all of the Titanfall models downloaded from somewhere here. I guess that was yours. Anyways, the models aren't visible in SFM. They're there, just missing textures or the texture paths are wonky. To get them to work you need to recompile them. I've tried, but I'm bad at this stuff.

I wouldn't expect them to work in SFM from the get-go; they were taken directly from the archives of Titanfall 1 without any changes. It was literally just a resource pack.
I managed to nab the download links for TFO from when they where having A beta

http://tfo.dn.nexoncdn.co.kr/tfo_retail/LocalInstaller/TFOInstaller.z03
Everything is stored in some kind of .pkg files, I can't make any sense of it.

oh. that makes more sense now.
So it looks like it's just another closed beta.
