Hi mate, sorry but is there any news? I mean even if you can upload the base models plus normal maps with no rigging, that will be great!
have been trying to figure out how to rip the models, mainly the rail gun and northstar without any luck.
Would anyone be able to rip and throw up an STL of those? i want to 3d print them
Or if anyone has a collection of things from the game, maybe even maps.. then i could do a small little display using some of a map, titan, and other assets.

Can I ask how people are going about getting the models? I'd quite like to know so I can work on a special project I've had on the backburner.
Hey guys, so now that Crowbar has the functionality to decompile any TF|2 models can anyone teach me how to properly compile them to work with SFM? I was trying to do things like here https://www.kicodora.com/models/12-porting-from-blender-to-source-film-maker/ , but it always gives me an error and isnt working...

even if i delete the ragdoll animation and try to use other animations from TF|2 folders it gives me the same or just ERROR: 'EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION' (assert: 1) ,
what should i do now ? try to add some basic animation for existing bones and try to compile or is there some trick that i am not aware of ?

has no textures tho, and the mesh is missing some faces.
If you own titanfall 2, blender, cra0kalo's Titanfall VPK tool, and the newest version of crowbar, you can extract them. The names are kinda weird tho.
Alas, I only have TF2 for the Ex-bawks.
Thank you for this effort. How long do you suspect it may be before they can be obtained with the textures and faces intact?
With a fair bit of tinkering with the .qc files I have been able to recompile quite a few models

However, since animations currently can't be decompiled (including ones in the mdl file) the models can be a bit tricky to work with due to fucked bind poses (especially the reaper!) the models are however mostly compatible with Titanfall 1 animations which can make things a bit easier (you may still need to move a few parts around to get it right).
Now that the model barrier is somewhat out of the way: how are people getting textures these days? Iv tried a few of different methods which have worked in the past but none work anymore.
Hmmm... Are the textures in different vpks? Also when using Crowbar, it seems to say that it's decompiling animations. However, I can't find them. As for the faces, I figured out a way that probably breaks the textures, but it kinda works. In blender, go into edit mode, press "remove doubles" and then press "f." This should add faces where they are absent.

So for ion u used Atlas animations from tf1? Also could u please give an example of qc code so i could try and do sth about it?

You need to load in the .qc file. This will spawn all the limbs and such in the right place, along with a physics thing, and the damaged limbs.
In the picture is the .QC file loaded..
Then I'm not sure what's going on.
After using VPK tool 3.3 and Crowbar 5.6 all the models seem to be accessible now, I tried Ninja Ripper to grab some textures but it will not function whichever setting I use.
Just a couple of questions:
Is there an easy fix for the fingers of the Titans?
Can the textures be extracted from the starpack files yet?
I already tried Ninjaripper but haven't managed to get anything yet.
What settings are you using for Ninjaripper?

Regarding textures , I didnt use Ninjaripper, i saw some guy on steam mentioning to use ninjaripper since , according to him, it is easy to get textures with it... So cant help you here...
There was something else you had to do to get Ninja Ripper to work.

They MIGHT have patched this as well, I can't be too sure since in the mess of trying different programs to run with Titanfall 2 now the game doesn't even start as is.
Do you know where the textures are located? if they are inside a MDL file I might be able to extract them using a hex editor.

You can change the position of the head by moving the bones.
