I updated the link and am actually just adding everything as 7zip files because I'm dumb and I dunno why I didn't do that before.
Thanks for the files! I appreciate it! I have another question: I obtained some of the raid armor for my Titan on the PC version of Destiny 2 (helmet, arms and legs) and I eventually want to use Ninja Ripper on them. So if I use Ninja Ripper, will I likely be banned? [editline]11th November 2017[/editline] Also, can someone please assemble the Iron Companion titan armor, the Unbent Tree auto rifle, and the Does Not Bow auto rifle that Wobbegong posted for me please? I would also like to learn to do it myself since I am new to this stuff. Thanks!
I updated the link and am actually just adding everything as 7zip files because I'm dumb and I dunno why I didn't do that before.
I assembled the Iron Companion Titan Armor files. The only problem on my end is getting the shaders to work in 3ds Max 2016. Currently the armor itself is all grey, but otherwise fine. However, I want to restore the default bronze/copper look and eventually to use a renderer app like Marmoset Toolbag to get the armor to look like it does in-game. There's one more thing missing though: You accidentally ripped the Hunter's helmet instead of the Titan Mark.
Hi there! I do wish I could get ninja Ripper running on the Game, but it only partly works on the Machine I had the Beta Installed on .. all other PCs I tried it just wont let me start the Game through ninjaripper... Anyway.. if you need just the meshes, or need all of them consistent in Size and Position to each other you can always try http://www.destinystlgenerator.com/ which let's you download stl files for most Assets in D1 and D2. No textures, though!
^Not a lot of use for .stls in game modding unfortunately, great for 3D printers who just want to slice and print though. But now i'm all hyped to dump Destiny Models again, especially since we can dump Ships, Ghosts(Destiny 2 only), and shaders(for what they are worth) now too. [T]https://i.imgur.com/YIKIGWu.png[/T] still wondering what this decal sheet is, never noticed *No Step* markings ingame, but it loads with freaking everything. waifu2xed for clarity. [T]https://i.imgur.com/O5nliyu.png[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/qfwJHgw.jpg[/T] Have to prepare for lots of texture and shader work to make any of this stuff decent. [T]https://i.imgur.com/2vv1rDg.jpg[/T] Also interesting to note that the Destiny 2 web models/textures don't load/have any lenses/red dot/holo textures and the OG Destiny weapons just load a default set that covers most, but not all of the sights. The curses of mobile app low quality free stuff. Worth digging around on bungie.net also, since all the techniques described upthread work there too and there are a few cool things if you dig around. [T]https://i.imgur.com/OdmYZus.jpg[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/k5ZHpKA.jpg[/T] edits: the Destiny 2 ships are nice, well, some of them are. [T]https://i.imgur.com/LMA8sAT.png[/T] Minerva with just albedo and normal maps till I get a handle on the PBR shader workflow Anyone have any tips on the breakdown of the PBR texture sets? original texture, I'm assuming a specular workflow? 3 channels: assuming Ambient Occlusion: Specular: and Gloss?: Also, easy tip for anyone dealing with all the messy extra unconnected geometry from your rips, just import your .rips to Blender with the .rip scripts. Then use the native 3D Print Toolbox addon to one button: Cleanup-Isolated Vertices and Edges. Anything to save time.

Approximating any of the shaders is going to be about a bitch though, and there's no longer a mask layer texture doodad. Looks like you're more or less right about that AO/Specular/Gloss assessment, though some of the areas that it has in both the spec and gloss maps are way shinier than you'd expect them to be for some reason.
chugging along with material setups, now I have a toy Minerva. [T]https://i.imgur.com/hUPbFQN.png[/T]
chugging along with material setups, now I have a toy Minerva. [T]https://i.imgur.com/hUPbFQN.png[/T]
I think I'm in love. Anyway, has anyone ported the Aspriet 1.0 Female hunter chestplate, preferably with the Old guard shader? I would LOVE to have my D1 guardian in SFM or what have you.
Thanks a lot! It is a bit of hit and miss though :-) Sometimes it rips sometimes not :-) Re the textures all the maps are 512x512. Am I doing something wrong or is that the best available via the API? Cheers
Actually thats a good point, I'll make a quick tutorial! Tut:
Photoshop/Gimp and waifu2x are your friends
Good work! And thanks for the tip on waifu2x! Couple of questions if you don't mind, as the waifu2x API doesn't support .dds format, what is best supported format that I should be using out of photoshop for upscaling? And how do you get a 'normal' looking normal map? i.e. bluish and not reddish? Assume this needs some channels to be corrected? Cheers
Yeah, its the mobile app textures and they are small. With some work they are pretty ok.
snip
First of all I'm a complete novice with setting up textures for source. Now that disclaimer is out of the way, my workflow on these is to pull the textures from the dev tools (f12) in chrome. No need to add another layer of compression artifacts to already tiny images. [T]https://i.imgur.com/e4Kxyts.png[/T] Then inverting the green channel of the normal in PS to produce the expected Above/Below Then I split the RGB from the AO/S/G texture sheet onto their own separate textures sheets for later use. [T]https://i.imgur.com/Oah0hGI.png[/T] Now that my Diffuse(probably really an untinted albedo map), Normal Map, and PBR textures are separated into Diffuse, Normal, AO, Specular, and Gloss/Roughness it is a great time to Waifu2x. Take that output back into Photshop and adjust as necessary. Then I drop the Ambient Occlusion over the diffuse texture with a Multiply, and drop the Specular into the Normal as its alpha channel. [T]https://i.imgur.com/h2QZa4P.png[/T] [T]https://i.imgur.com/uO04Um3.png[/T] And since all your textures have to be a power of two in size, I stitch all the odd sized shit into a new 1024x1024 sheet or whatever. Rename all your finished files appropriately and Save as .DDS. Note: Since you aren't using NinjaRipper's output textures you are gonna have to manually adjust your UV's scaling and postion on the stitched together textures. You can use NinjaRipper's output as a guide for your UVs if you get lost moving islands around though. I do. Note2: The above only applies the Destiny2 models, The Destiny 1 models use a different texture set up with a bunch of masks (for game engine shaders I assume, but idk really) Note3: If you wanna be a super duper sure on your Normal Map channel adjustment use a SeperateRGB convert node with a CombineRGB convert node in conjunction with an Invert color node to check all the channels individually inb4 I didn't ask for this
anyone have the Iron Banner equipment
Hey guys, I assembled the Iron Companion Titan set well enough, but how do you get it to look like it does in-game or at least with the correct coloration like this: and this:
~snip~
A whole lot of texture work. Upscaling/enhancing the textures with a neural network and hours in Photoshop/Gimp overlaying colors with masks made from exported UV layouts to achieved the desired colors. It isn't fun, but the results are worth it.

It doesn't cover any of the upscaling, but it might get you a little closer to getting the color groups.

I have been trying to rip models from D2 since it has now gone free (atleast the trial), but everytime I try to rip with ninja ripper, it doesn't work. Is there any way to do this?

Hit run, but before the game fully launches, run it from the Blizzard app. You should be able to rip models if you did it right.

Hey guys! Quick question: One of you mentioned using a neural network to upscale and enhance the textures for the Iron Companion Titan armor, so which one should I use and how does it work? Thanks!

Thanks. I just used it. it works pretty well and it's free! Now all I need is a tutorial on getting the right coloration with Photoshop (preferably with Photoshop CC 2018). https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133004/b7eb0073-af56-4022-a1b4-5ad4012728ab/Destiny1IronCompanionTitanSet1_2.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133004/43c3a6df-a585-4f80-9799-fd6fefac61e6/Destiny1IronCompanionTitanSet1_3.png Additionally, I also just imported the up-scaled textures and the model together in Photoshop CC 2018. Now I have got to get the correct coloration of the armor along with adding the alpha and mask channels to get that high-quality look. Any tips or suggestions guys?
Does anyone know if these guys helmets can be ripped please? http://cdn4.twinfinite.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/exo2.jpg https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/t_original/xktftoqjqehyrdfqbxum.jpg many thanks if anyone can help!

Destiny STL Generator Go nuts.
What about the textures ?
Blender. Because Blender opens STL files.
Do I have to repair the files before putting them into blender because If I import the import staright after downloading it from the website. It saying its in by displaying the armature but the model itself doesn't show up in the scene field I can mesh with its origin point but there is no mesh displaying. What am I doing wrong ?
Have you tried zooming out a bit? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108547/45b5ec81-2993-47af-a9bf-a4585191bc60/image.png
