I can still port models from the game, just not having it on Public Release. And plus they already stated once the game is fully completed, then ripping models from the game is fully authorized. I am friends with the main artist developer over this and he explained it to me that it has to be that way. So till' then the models remain private, but that doesn't mean I won't showcase them.
Well, stating that when the game is done extracting stuff from it will be authorized is ok, but the game is still in Alpha, it's not near halfway done. I hope you mean you actually know the main artist developer and not just spoken to him one time to validate what you say.
We are in the same place as we were when you ported the old pack, the game is still on development, it's not finished so I can't really see any difference between now and back then. It's also very unfortunate for all those who want stuff from that game to show things that won't probably see the public light in a BIG period of time (And I mean BIG because of the development of the game, we don't know how much Squad is going to be on Alpha-Beta/Early access until it finally reaches a fresh and complete launch).

Uber Heavy WIP i.e. lousy rigging, ungenerated Light emitter(his helmet stuff), but everything else is done. Hopefully it'll be included in my KZSF Helghast pack.

Been trying to work with shading on the previous port. Originally, this uses a colored spec so I've to 2 stack for it. I also tried 3 stack with CustomHero (for tinted envmapping base on basetexture's albedo, colored spec applied as CH's basetexture).

FYI, there are 8 turned on lights with 0 intensity and no shadows enabled (something about bug in CH where each light will brighten the envmap's reflection, even with intensity at 0). And four lights with default setup with shadows. $envmapintensity on CH was set to 0.05.
Memory wise, it's bad because of 3 stacks just for the sake of colored specular and tinted envmapping. It's not even PBR, but there's no shortcut for it sadly.
Much like the game itself, no one would ever request Garfield Kart models, but you're getting them anyway. (The top of the head is apparently considered a hat)

I had to fix up the entire UV map and edit it's AO map to get it like this. But it was all worth the weight.
This is the first model that I've extracted from Heavy Rain and isn't difficult after all instead Beyond Two Souls. I think I will continue with other characters

It looks like it's an AK-47 with an AKM ribbed cover.
Make it default, it will look better with the standard AK-47 barrel length.
