I think some of you think "OMG, is he dumb!", but how could I convert a .dds file into a .jpg or a .png?
Use noesis, it's super easy and works with SWBF's .dds files as well
the Universal Frostbite Extractor works really cool in a few minutes i was able to get kylo's head, his VUR, texture, and fix it:
I'm looking for some models from Star Wars Battlefront 2. The models are the S-5 Heavy Blaster Pistol, the Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon, E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannon, the Hyena Droid Bomber and the Droid Tri-Fighter. Are there any full-sized colored models of these, if you don't mind me asking?

id-daemon, your GUI extractor is looking really nice! Thanks for the hard work. Can't wait to test it out!
For SFM guys with Battlefront II, anyone know what's going on with that? I just got a notice that the clones from the beta were removed from the shop and wants me to delete them.
id-daemon, your GUI extractor is looking really nice! Thanks for the hard work. Can't wait to test it out!
Very soon. It already works. Just need to add some checks and useful features, and it will be ready.
For SFM guys with Battlefront II, anyone know what's going on with that? SFM displays that anytime an add-on gets removed from the workshop.
Anyone have the battlefront 2 Mesh extractor tool? Just dumped the game and that’s all I need

I think I'll just make one small request here, as well as well as a question. Firstly, is there a model of the S-5 Heavy Blaster Pistol from Battlefront 2? And secondly, is there a Mac-compatible mesh extractor program I can obtain sometime in the future?
For SFM guys with Battlefront II, anyone know what's going on with that? Hello guys, Don't know why but when i'm trying to texture the Iden model with the .dds (in the shared mediafire folder) i'm having an error saying "invalid image file header", and when i try to convert them into png everytime i get a failed conversion (tried with dds converter and many sites)
i told this to several people and i'll tell you the same: be patient. i didn't do it for no reason.
I figured that, I just found it weird that now I get a notice that bfii content was no longer in the shop.
id-daemon need someone to help you test the tool?
Anyone have the battlefront 2 Mesh extractor tool? Just dumped the game and that’s all I need
Here are instructions I posted on xentax: IMPORTANT: tool usage Now you only need 1 parameter: meshset name, or just drag the meshset onto the tool. Chunk will be found automatically: Chunk auto search The tool will try to find the chunk it needs: - in the current folder - in the "chunks" subfolder - in the directory structure created by dumper script. So for example if you just drop some meshset from "bundles\res" onto the tool, it will find it. - if it still can't find the chunk, you'll get a message with chunk ID needed Fixed static meshes Statics now can be exported. They will still have skeletons, ignore them Physics bones Special physics bones will be created and mesh will be weighted to them. Manual bones adjusting may be required for them to work. XNALara ascii format export with multi-UVs If you need it with proper rotated bones, import SMD skeleton and connect it to model. Skeleton read from EXE dir, not current dir So you can use the tool from any folder, no need to put skeleton next to the meshset file Skeleton name parameter For custom skeletons you can run: Fb_SWBF2_mesh <meshset> <skeleton> If no skeleton parameter provided, it will expect the default walrus_humanmale.ebx Cloth meshes Cloth meshes usually have no chunks. They have data inside of meshset itself. Now they are supported. Important note: the original dumped long name is required to detect the raw data position in the file, so don't rename the file. [editline]22nd November 2017[/editline]
This tool looks amazing! What games will it work with?
It will work with lots of games, because dumping itself is almost the same for all games. Model/sound/texture formats are different. So I'm not sure if I implement conversion in this tool, or leave it just as generic dumper. [editline]22nd November 2017[/editline] Tool is improved every hour. Added option for separate dumping of ebx/res/chunks. First speed test run on SWBF2: 140.957 EBX & Resources extracted in less than 5 minutes. 154.317 chunks in about 40 minutes (total size about 60GB).
I have been following the posts and trying to understand it. I have purchased SWBF2 deluxe edition. I have no idea how to "dump" the game. I understand this has to be done prior to extraction. Exactly what tools do I have to use first? If someone can help me out, I can contribute assets here as well : )

Just a dumper might be better, in case conversion could break it to work in new games or something and there's no real problem using more tools/scripts than one. Just my opinion of course. @ everyone having problems extracting from BFII If needed i can make a detailed tutorial about how it works. But I'd probably rather wait for daemon's new tool to be released to avoid the archive dump script (and the many hours it will take to extract the whole game).

If so, I have no way of getting it, as it is not an option over at Origin.

I can make a tutorial about how to use that, get meshes and fixed faces once it's out. :)
The script, is that limited to the Beta version of BF2?
There are scripts for beta and for full game. I posted both on xentax.
I think some of you think "OMG, is he dumb!", but how could I convert a .dds file into a .jpg or a .png?
I have a plug in for corel that does it. gimp does it as well. [editline]22nd November 2017[/editline]
As i said, "i WILL make them again". Once its done, link will be posted. But right now I'm busy making a new proper dumper for frostbite. As you can see on this screen, it will be (and already is) able to dump either some specific files, of the whole game very easy:
Thx! The posted instructions I'm not sure what the output file is and if it works for blender. Just trying to get obj files - no texture or rigging needed for what I'm doing
Has the Republic version of the arquitens class been extracted? there are model differences from the imperial one.
Since I have no way of getting the 'correct' UV channels for the SWBF2 weapons, I took some of the model parts of the A280(C) and put them with a modified version of the SWBF3 A280, re-UVed to them. I have to say it doesn't look too shabby. It might not be immediately visible but I also copied over the small protruding parts on the sides of the AR-15 receiver.
