Okay first check my post before, it explains why texture tool doesn't work. All letters in your chunk names are upper case letters. Texture tool doesn't detect them when they are like this.
I'm not sure why mesh tool crashes here. Check if your 'chunks' folder has any unwanted space behind. If not try run the tool from command line to see if it gives errors.

Gone through the thread a bit but can't quite find, has anybody ripped the Imperial stormtroopers (4-6)? With bones and weights preferably
For the Mesh:
My PC doesn't have the ability to screenshot. The mesh issue is with blender, not the tools themselves.
(An error occurred during import Frame info is invalid. Not all data might have been imported successfully)
This ^^^ is the error I get when importing the ACSII file to blender. otherwise, it all seems to work fine.
For the Texture:
I have the latest version and I went the extra mile to do the lowercase program also, so I, in theory, shouldn't have issues. Sadly I do. As for screenshots of that, nothing happens, like at all! I put the texture of the mesh I want to convert into the texture folder that sits inside the working folder which has all the prop items in it and the DDS doesn't appear nor does the program do anything at all, it does load all the chunks though.

Press print screen on your keyboard, open paint, paste. Alternatively use 'Snipping tool' to save screenshots.

Well this sounds to me like the plugin is not installed or installed wrong. Did you try importing the .smd instead? How to install plugins is on the index of the tutorial page.
If problem stays, tell me mesh name this happens on and eventually send over the file that does not import for you.

Okay what i noticed with texture tool is that it's extremely sensitive to changing folders after pressing 'Get DDS files' once. Try restarting it, select the textures folder again, then select your chunks folder with lowercase chunks and just press the Get DDS button. don't tick any of the other boxes, just press that button. There is no progress bar or anything, it just takes a couple of seconds depending on how many textures you have in the folder.

physic meshes need to be manually renamed for now. Then reextract it using mesh tool.

After using the tools, ( I think I have the basics down now ) I get this result in Blender. Any ideas as to why? Also, I have tried to import the t_70 ( either one ) and get the geometry warped and bent. WEIRD, WEIRD, WEIRD.

I'm going to start writing ideas down for scenes (because I have to many) and take a little break from Star Wars while I play with some Halo models and others. I have some crazy ideas for Star Wars scenes though so I'll be back pretty soon no doubt. The models are just too good.

I tend to like to clean up the models some (swap UV channels, convert DDS --> PNG, parse textures, etc.), so if you want the assets unaltered, each RAR contains a folder labeled SooG (stands for "Straight out of Game"). Don't be deterred by the meshes labeled "donotuse", that's just the way they're labeled in the game files.[/QUOTE]
