I work on English version =) Maybe, that will be in Facebook. Maybe, in ModDB... Anyway, I'll post it here when it will be done =)
what happened to Facepunch ... different website now?
Thanks, Champs! The link you send is working =)
excellent news !! all i see is very promising !! good work !
Some time back it was announced that Garry, the site's creator would be moving the site into a new domain, or something like that. Guess it finally happened in the last 24 hours. You ChrisGFX, I think I haven't yet thanked you for your work with the SWBF2 models. Even though I was one of the people upset by the lootboxes I still can't deny that the models in the game are freaking gorgeous. Because of your efforts to get them, I look forward to seeing what I can do with them.
Did anyone else have to make a new account? It said I had to sign in with Facebook or Google, so I'm unable to log in to my old profile and had to make a new one (which I am currently using).
When the new site was in development you had to make a new account but had the option of transferring your old “legacy” account into the new one.
Yes you have to create a new account, but if you want you can link your new account to the old one by going here: Facepunch Auth
Hi guys! Does anybody have a good X-Wing cockpit interior? All I’ve found so far is the front of the cockpit but I’ve never seen the back part, where the pilot seats. I’d really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance
just in case of .. a hidden option into Frosty Editor edit the FrostyEditor.ini [Init] GamePath=C:\ your folder \STAR WARS Battlefront II Profile=starwarsbattlefrontii Advanced=True ; add this line and save !!! [Bookmarks] BookmarkDb=[Asset Bookmarks] now right clic on one item, you have now List Bundles
I don't think you will find any good model bevause in game it's not usful to have a highqualité backcokpit as you never see it (you are too far in third person and in first person you only see the dashboard
T-65 or T-70 ?? both into the archive
Both if that's possible!! Please Share! Thanks
just a quick extraction, i haven't check all Inside ... say me if it's ok or not X wing cockpits.zip
Thank you Champs for your help, but it seems we have the same problem with this model. It's only the front and the dashboard that we can see, but nothing about the back part where the pilot seats. I would need the Seat area to be able to fit a pilot
i see... i will search, if i can find something else ...
That's very kind of you. Thanks!
thank you for the link
Can someone help me understand how to handle the normal maps that have both blue and yellow in them? If I map RGB to a normal map the yellow parts turn black. I can't invert it because then the blue parts turn brown. The X-wing cockpit texture I'm working with doesn't black out if I just map the RG channels to normal, but there are color discrepancies as seen below. How do you all typically handle situations like this?
blue channel's a metallic map since SWBF2 is BRDF, particularly the metalness workflow.
Hmm. So should I only be taking the RG channels for normal maps then? It's supposed to look discontinuous like that?
What software for photoediting are you using ? But basically you have to delete the blue channel to swap it with a new one wich have 1 value (pure white).
Discrepancies? Make sure the green channel is in the correct direction (up or down)your renderer uses for tangent space normals.
If you are in photoshop: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/122255/ace438e5-48bc-4003-a725-8570d7526164/Screenshot_394.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/122255/4b201c0c-8165-45e5-96b8-038cec488e51/Screenshot_395.png
I'm using Maya. I tried what you said and followed the steps in your tutorial (thanks for that by the way) and both of these paths net the same results. Here's what I mean by discontinuous: https://image.ibb.co/n1htsG/dashboard2.jpg There are gaps between the areas where some are light and some are dark.
Hmm i'm not sure bu this is maybe because you are using teh wrong UV, i don't kniow if you notice but tehre is 2 uv maps, 1 for teh normals and for the albedo/rough/metal
Usually there are 2 UV maps, but on the cockpit there is only one and it does match up with both the normal and the color.
Can you send me the files ? I will try to see the problem.
Sure thing, they were posted on the last page. X wing cockpits.zip This is the vehicle_air_xwing_t65_cockpit_mesh. Thanks!
I got frosty. You noticed that the colors are from the diffuse texture? I'd guess there are some mesh parts missing. Weird is the cockpit_cutscene.mesh doesn't contain those either. I'd call bummer on the game modeller/artist that put it 2 different things together.
