You're using an outdated version of the LAAT from the Alpha files. The full game version is more detailed and the normal map is usable.

Well this is news to me. I didn't realize they did away with those annoying decal lines in the full game version of the LAAT model. The normals are still on a different UV channel than C and S, but re-baking isn't a problem. I'm working on the Raddus and the MC80 right now, but after that I'll look into re-baking the normals for the newer LAAT model for the renderers that only support a single channel (e.g. KeyShot).
Did any other models improve in the full version that I didn't notice?
Pretty much everything. I've been updating my models the past couple weeks, and was surprised just how different some of the models and textures were compared to the Alpha and Beta versions. I've actually deleted all of the models I ripped from them because they are inferior.
A few WIP images of the MC80 and MC85. They're coming along nicely, but not quite ready to package up and upload. Using the instruction contained in the SpatialPrefabBlueprint files to position/scale/orient the component meshes has mostly worked wonders, with a few minor exceptions. The hull PanelTile textures on the MC80 are bonkers; all sorts of different UV scales and offsets. I had to watch through gameplay videos on YouTube for reference images to get them right.

yes ... I'm working on the MC 80 too ... the tiled textures are really a pain in the butt ... not sure where to put them (chanels) ... hope to figure it out because I really love the model.

I thought maybe it was Unreal doing it but it's the same in maya and 3ds max.
That is because the dome's verticies aren't welded together at that central seam. Also, I'd recommend using a smaller angle for smoothing. 45 degrees is a good one for the storm trooper helm, though I usually use 23 degrees.
Yeah I literally just posted about that like 2 pages back... you need to weld the vertices together.

@badhorse The 'correct' uvscales can be found in the materials. I can't remember tho where the texture references for those were tho. i think you got that already.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a Slave 1 cockpit (SWBF1/2)? I've combed V2/3 best I could and can only come up with the exterior model. Thought I would ask before I try to do the extraction myself. Thanks!
