Hello there ... I run into some "problems" with the MC80 ... I'm trying to finish mine but ... I haven't found any metalness textures in the set I have here. Looking at BadHorse texture set there are the metalness textures ... where can I find then? There are 2 normalmaps for the hullpanels ... I would like to know which one is for what. Thank you in advance Chris
:-) :-) :-)
From the original share: "The metalness ("Me") and engine emissive ("Em") textures, I created myself, so if you don't like them don't feel obligated to try to make them work."
oh nice ... they are really cool can you show the secret how you made then?
Has anyone possibly spotted any of these somewhere? I'm trying to finish up a little fan project that I've been working on for fun. If these aren't available I'll just have to figure something else out to replace them, but I was hoping that these might have been available somewhere. Whether they're Star Wars Galaxies models or not doesn't really matter, just something not too high in poly count...
I'd be interested in extracting from the old LucasArts game "Jedi Power Battles". Does anybody know how to rip models and sounds from a DreamCast game?
Hey Badhorse did you ever get round to releasing the Raddus?
a fast extraction for both TIE Agressor.7z Oppressor.7z
me again is there a file where I can see where a texture goes where? I have some parts which i can't identify the texture ... any help or tips will be very appreciated. thanks
The core ship is technically part of the Lucrehulk (which is in BF2) but nobody's done it yet.
Though, how are the lucrehulk textures set up? Detaching the core ship part will probably end up with some nasty textures on one side, unless they made them specifically to be detachable.
I'm trying to launch battlefront 2015 with frosty but i get this error: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront\\moddata\patch\win32/installation/initialexperience/cas.cat'. any help? there are existing folders up to win32.... inside win32 there is no installation folder...
You're loading the wrong file. You need to select the game's .EXE file. That's it.
Making a "metalness" texture is a bit arbitrary. You start with the Alpha channel of the "CS" files (still hotly debated whether this is specular or smoothness, but that's a topic for another day). It normally looks something like this ... https://i.imgur.com/Er1p7Gi.png I noticed that often the brightest areas of the textures corresponds to the worn edges or scratches, where metal was exposed through the paint. Reinforcing this assumption is the fact that the color textures usually tends to be a metallic gray in these same areas. With that said, I just adjust (reduce) the color levels input range, so that these areas are emphasized, and it ends up looking like this ... https://i.imgur.com/p0WuBVB.png You can usually get something usable out of this method when no metalness texture is provided, but it might take a few tries to get the levels right.
I've got the core ship looking pretty decent so far. I probably won't do the Lucrehulk in full though as there are far too many pieces of the rest of the ship, and no idea where to put most of the pieces. The core is pretty easy to put together by itself though.
Hello. i'm looking the arc-170 clonetrooper pilot. can you share the download link please? thanks.
Hello Badhorse, In reference to the ISD model I'm quite still generally confused on how to use the second uv map for the normals and, specifically where/how to use, Panel tile1/2 uv1/2. Can You be so kind to indicate the post where to find the clue or just tell it to me please?
thank you very much!
Hey, i was wondering if anyone has a textured model for a Hammerhead corvette, or even better any models anyone has from the old star wars galaxies game
Here's the MC85 Raddus. It's not nearly as detailed as the MC80. Textures are kinda crappy too -- lotsa patterns don't really line up well with hull geometry, and plenty of jagged anti-aliasing issues on the normal texture. Good enough for distance shots I suppose. I'm also not a fan of the windows mesh that the recent models seem to favor, which appears to visibly float above the surface of the hull, so I used it to baked a window texture mask, which can then be applied directly with your hull shader. Any way you could do the Lucrehulk next? I'm having a bitch of a time attempting to assemble it.
Pretty slim chance. I've been putting off working on both the Lucrehulk and the Resurgent SD because of the massive scope of work required. Each is almost an entire space-based level unto itself. I'm going to take a short break from all-consuming big assembly projects. Not saying no, but at least probably not right now. I'n the meantime, I'm always willing to listen and offer advice to help things along.
is it possible to extract Leia "the last jedi" version ? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ICy27hs-sd4/maxresdefault.jpg
^Nope, that's a pre-rendered cinematic.
Ok... Thanks for your answer
