Man, got the Burning Gundam and Master Gundam in there too. Man that show was the shit back in the day!
you mean god gundam right? burning was the name carried over because americans can't handle anything being called "god" unless its in their religious texts, with that being said G wasn't that great it was imagawa doing another film but I'll look into getting the models from extreme vs which means we'll have GOD gundam, master gundam and dragon gundam just realized there is another game I can rip from although I'm not sure of the quality of the models

Besides G Gundam was one my favorite Gundam shows IMHO.
Yeah, I'm just used to the Burning Gundam name more:v:. Besides G Gundam was one my favorite Gundam shows IMHO.
I lean more towards Zeta and 0080 that being said I'm going to look into ripping from this game I just found the models look like a decent poly count I'll try that, seems to have some 00 units in there as well as wing, I'll try to see if I can do this. if I can we'll have more raw models we'll need to just recruit others to the cause to help resize and rig them, resizing I can do when I figure out how to set the overall height of the model instead of just resize each piece, I resized the zaku I as a test and I used the standard CT model from CS:GO as a reference it looks fine and the textures still hold right, but this is all in max I'm not sure WHAT problems would/will crop up when porting it into source
while kuro has been working on rigging I've decided to try my hand at making the suit the proper height in comparison to the standard source player model, had a little help from the CS:GO CT on this one, as you can see its SLIGHTLY over the size it should be (zaku I is roughly 16.5 meters tall) I've been toying with the notion of going back to each model and resizing them all nice and proper but that might cause problems the models in project V's folder will remain AS IS and if I do take a fancy to resizing them the resizes will get their own folders, just realized when I do that I'm going to have to accurately resize the weapons will be dreading that. last note: looking in my screen dump folder reminds me I haven't uploaded the core booster have I? I'll try to find the max file and up it in the usual .3ds format
Alright we need some help I dion't want to dump the work on kuro and I sure as hell can't do it because it wont run on a 64 bit OS and I can't be assed to set up a VM for this we need someone with a 32 bit OS preferably windows XP to grab some models for us from a Ultimate Knight Windom XP mod the mod in question is an attempt to bring Gundam Vs extreme to the windom engine and it has a larger amount of nice juicy models, anyone with a XP would be a big help, all you have to do is install the game, and for each suit wait till its in its stationary pose, and rip it with either ninjaripper or 3d ripper this gives us access to SEED shit as well as 00 units
Just so you know this ISN'T DEAD, and I'm probably breaking some sort of rule by bumping this thread but whatever an update, with no tangible work, JUST LIKE NOTCH so the new PSP emulator is out and this is going to allow for 3D models from the PSP titles albeit in a lesser quality/polycount than the PC/home console titles I have a copy of NEXT PUS dumped and the new SRW game has come out which sports 3D models like NEO did, with SRW we also increase WHAT mecha is ported into source. this means mecha like patlabor, MAZINGER ZEEEEEEEETOOOOOOOO! and the ilk will eventually be gotten around to after the current project is finished speaking of which I'm looking for people who are also interested in this because kuro right now is the only guy who has actively decided to rig and get these suits ready for source and while that's a big help he does have other projects and I'm not the kind of person to rush him or to prioritize my shit over something else. meanwhile I'm making an attempt but I'm sitting on so many failed attempts I'm getting disheartened. so if anyone is interested in seeing this project to completion don't be afraid to pick up the models from the dropbox and have a go at it, also looking for people who are decent with image editing software and would be interested in making the color corrections to the UCGO bitmaps anyways NEXT PLUS model rips next week or sooner then I'll move onto SRW OE for whatever I feel like grabbing from there, though that's SD models and SD suits are typically the size of a teenage human or small child
Bad news everyone!
SO neither 3D ripper DX or ninja ripper appear to work with PPSSPP which sucks,my smile and optimism...GONE! GCCX reference aside we're once again stuck with very little in what's available,on the plus side if you needed to know wither or not the new PSP emulator works I can strongly say it does work superbly, except the fact I can't use it to rip models. If someone wants to try their luck with PPSSPP and if they get a ripping program to work with it drop me a line on steam or post in this thread until then we're stuck with what we got but its not a bad amount of models. Honestly though I was surprised how smoothly PPSSPP ran its really something you DO need to download an additional plugin not included in the zip but the emulator gives you the option to download it through it and it just plops it right in quick and painless, still no sound effects on NEXT PLUS though, voices work and music in the intro and for each series plays with the plugin. Was really hoping to score the F91 models or victory gundam ones

So can anyone find a zeta gundam 3d file or maybe an astray red frame?
Hi, I am interested in ripping mobile suit from the game too! I just want to make some paper craft... I found this website: http://ucgoserver.com/ucgo-models/ they have it in .dcr format, but I don't know how to rip them out, may be a diropener would help?? I personally have never use that before...
The thread's been dead for near enough half a year, matey. I think it's for the better than a mod sees to this thread. Lock please?
Is it possible to make any of these models playermodels?
Funny this thread is alive now. I've been working on a few Gundam things.. [t]http://i.imgur.com/16SVGfi.png[/t] Backstory is needed for this; Leo Knights are the knights under Lord Tallgeese's command in the kingdom of Lacroa. Plumage is used to indicate rank, ranging from none to three, while armor color indicates the Leo's squadron. White is worn by Tallgeese's personal guards.
...so is it possible or not? I was kinda hoping for a reply when i saw that another person replied to this thread...

WOOOO!! :D Still have those SD Gundam figures from years back. All I was missing was Zapper Zaku, darn it!
Guess it's not possible then... :l
Guess it's not possible then... :l
Don't get mopy over a lack of an answer. While it is possible to make player models out of them, the models associated with SD Gundam have very odd proportions in general and are rather unsuitable for use as player models. Unless you're wanting to see models that get stretched and look a bit buggy when used as player models, it would probably be better to leave them as ragdolls.

So anyone has a good basic vmt setup?, because the default (tf2) setup doesn't look quite right on Big Zam.
Find an vehicle you like and steal some VMT settings from that.
There are those FME mechs, I am sure their VMT settings can look better than the TF2 ones at least. I can upload a few of those VMTs if you want, and don't wanna download the whole thing just for those.

So whats the structure for a release here? just the smds with the qc and textures or something else?
It's preferred to be compiled and such. I however don't mind if it's an SMD with the QC and textures as I can compile it myself from there, but not everyone has compiling down, so it's just seen as nice to have it pre-compiled.
Personally, I think including the compiled version and a 'resource' version (like what Manneh mentioned) would be suitable for a release in case anyone wants to fix up any issues they spot or want to make their own changes to the compile.

Well it works, I got it compiled and in Gmod. But since I don't know how to ragdoll things, It can't be posed except by Joint tool. So we need someone who can write up a Ragdoll's QC for this and it would be good to go.

With everything there, it shouldn't be too hard to get him done. Does he come in his bit accurate size, or do I have to set his scale manually? Edit: Do you have other MS Gundam models like this with the files needed to be compiled for SFM? It'd give me something to do and some practice. Edit 2: Since you have everything there, what would I need to do to get it to SFM?
Does he come in his bit accurate size, or do I have to set his scale manually?
You're going to have to scale him to accurate size because i didn't have any model to reference him too.
Do you have other MS Gundam models like this with the files needed to be compiled for SFM? I'm thinking in getting Moustache (Turn A) ready for source next.
Since you have everything there, what would I need to do to get it to SFM?
You'll need to scale him (if you want) and tweak his qc in order for the textures to load properly in SFM(right folders, ect) and that's all

I'm still kind of new to this, so I'm gonna look for a good tutorial on scaling, setting up GUI studio, and editing the qc's. Along with Turn A, do you think you could find the Rx-78-2, the Musha Gundam, Sazabi, and all their equipment?
