BTW, Darumaka has odd Body group changing. I can't change the Mouth and Eyes separately.
BTW, Darumaka has odd Body group changing. I can't change the Mouth and Eyes separately.
That's just the way the textures are set up. Perhaps I could do what I had done for Aipom, and make every possible combination of mouths and eyes. But I'll do that for my next update.
(I assume this is the right place to put this) I started doing some Custom pokemon models because it's so popular, I will get the other two starters done some time today.
Oh yeah, released an update to my pack today, added Croagunk, Garbodor, Kecleon, Kirlia, and Lucario. [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/866107177541071460/FF503CD230E126E109106C42592FCE0F7D439A7E/[/t]
cool kirlia is finally here. :suicide:
I can't wait until there's a way to rip 3DS models.
I've been working on my pokemon models lately too! Here's some progress! Never said they weren't modeling for pokeporn.
So in unrelated to Pokemon XY games I've decided to try and make the Pokemon Adventure/Special Characters as models. Wish me luck because I'll need it.
good luck, and reasonable speed be with you.
Man, if there were ever an ideal time to crack the mystery of Wii U model ripping... It'd be when or before SSB4 comes out.
Someone made MMD model edits to the kanto starter final evolutions to make them the mega evolutions(except charizard X) I wonder if it would be simple enough for someone here to do the same? There's actually quite a few pokemon models on MMD that couldn't otherwise be ported, maybe you guys could ask the people who made the models if you could port them? Figured that I'd post this here. Someone's managed to hack the 3DS and discover the event legendaries for Gen 6. If they can do that, then maybe model extracting could be possible? Here's the proof. But if you don't want to be spoiled, I'd just leave the link alone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8vPMVkFRBw
If you want to beg a guy to send you hundreds of memory dumps or be your personal rom decryption slave, sure. By which I mean no, not for the foreseeable future.
Screenshots can be faked. That's hardly "proof". The Fire/Water type makes this especially suspicious.
Their names were also seen on the GTS after the leak, from what I heard. That can't be faked.
Their names were also seen on the GTS after the leak, from what I heard. That can't be faked.
Wait... what? Why would they actually acknowledge a leak instead of taking their time to reveal the pokemon? Besides, they still haven't actually announced them, right? Doesn't that normally happen first? That just sounds even more suspicious to me. I might point out the guy who leaked the pokemon, on his twitter seemed to talk about hacking the hardware of his 3DS. It's not entirely unthinkable to believe this to be a huge elaborate hoax. Incredibly unlikely, but not completely impossible either.
Wait... what? Why would they actually acknowledge a leak instead of taking their time to reveal the pokemon? Besides, they still haven't actually announced them, right? Doesn't that normally happen first?
I don't think that normally happens first. At least not in the age of the modern internet. Last generation I had heard of the three hidden Pokemon (Meloetta, Keldeo, Genesect) a long time before they were announced. As for the hacking thing, I'm not entirely convinced that this "opened the gates" to all the content. Just because they might've figured out how to mess with certain numbers in the code to reveal these creatures, that doesn't mean they're now able to recreate the Kanto region with the in-game coding.

Umm I might not be able to tell a JPG from a PNG, but there seems to be a good deal of image quality variance there. I'm going to go ahead and call "photoshopped". Then again, I don't have the games, so I have no idea if that's normal. Can anyone even identify what attack is being used?
As for the hacking thing, I'm not entirely convinced that this "opened the gates" to all the content. Incredibly unlikely, but not completely impossible either.
People 'found' the English names of three unannounced Pokemon from unlisted pages on Serebii which were quickly removed. You can see requests for them on GTS if people key in their names manually with the keyboard and their names are automatically fixed to Sentence Case, which doesn't happen when you put in nonsense like asking for a Goku or a Pikablu. This was something like 10 days after the game came out. Smealum later used some private methods of running code and modifying firmware calls to make changes in memory to spawn a bunch of unseen Pokemon in wild battles, confirming the legendaries are present in the game as of release and show a couple of special forms/mega evos we didn't know about. Either way there's no public exploits for the current firmware, what Smealum did in this case won't yet work with a 3DS already on the 6.x firmware the game needs to run normally, and we don't have ROM decryption.
If possible, could I request Houndour? Great work so far!
Either way there's no public exploits for the current firmware, what Smealum did in this case won't yet work with a 3DS already on the 6.x firmware the game needs to run normally, and we don't have ROM decryption.
So you're saying what he did is impossible?
So you're saying what he did is impossible?
What he did was the result of not updating his 3DS firmware apparently. He made some sort of patch to the game that let him see different Pokemon, and screen captures from the patched game included those three Pokemon, as well as Arceus and Mega Latios, among other things. This is what I've read.
Yeah, that's why I said publicly. Smealum can use a 4.5 3DS and still run software that require newer firmware by redirecting where the 3DS fetches its data from. That makes it possible to use exploits that were still possible on 4.5 to run custom code and modify the game as it's playing. It's a proof of being able to load and exploit new 3DS firmware and an opening for further discoveries, but it's not very suitable for the average person especially since you'd have to not updated your 3DS in almost a year or find unopened ones that were made in 2012.
Well considering the PSP had a similar thing going I suppose it's possible. Though really, I think people ripping models from games would be capable of working these things out once there's a surefire way for them to do it on their own...
If it's still OK but I still would like to request Giratina & Arceus.
I finished Pokemon Y a few weeks ago. The graphics are nice, and some of the added mechanics help freshen up the experience a bit. But it didn't seem like a huge leap from the last couple of games. Also, I curse Gold and Silver for setting my expectations for a post-game experience, and that was 13 years ago. Roughly back into the proper topic... Well yeah, there's a big difference between making a Game Boy sequel and a brand new 3DS game. I never really liked Gold/Silver Kanto anyway; too much stuff was cut-down or left out and it didn't help the problematic level curve the game had. Anyway, after some more remodelling and redrawing textures I've got a much more model-accurate Zangoose instead of being based on the really screwed up Colosseum design: Aside from a bit of tweaking on the ear textures it just needs re-rigging now.
Nice Goose. BTW, what happened to this thread? Is it abandoned, or did everyone just decide to pursue other projects?
Nice Goose. BTW, what happened to this thread? Is it abandoned, or did everyone just decide to pursue other projects?
Not entirely. I had forgotten to update this topic with the last pack updates I did. 1st Generation now also has Cubone and Marowak 2nd Generation has Tyranitar and Celebi. 3rd Generation has Lotad and Sableye. 4th Generation has Floatzel and Bronzong. 5th Generation has Litwick and Chandelure (both of which I'd advise using the Joint Tool to help pose), and also Cubchoo and Beartic. And I've also updated the first post, finally. I've trimmed the requests from it because frankly I don't care anymore, I'll port whatever I feel like porting, whenever I feel like it due to the lack of interest in the Pokémon ports I've done recently.
