Is anyone else having problems with GMod recently? GMod keeps on crashing on me when I use a certain tool too much.
Also, it takes about 15 mins for a stage to load up. What is this? An old DOS game?

I think taking snaps makes it crash, but usually after about half a minuet.
T-Tar has problems with its toe claws. They don't want to straighten out.
I've trimmed the requests from it because frankly I don't care anymore, I'll port whatever I feel like porting, whenever I feel like it due to the lack of interest in the Pokémon ports I've done recently.
There goes the Roserade request then, but yeah I understand, nobody seems to enjoy the ports anymore. And I seriously I would try my hand at ripping models myself if I wasn't bogged down by college work.

If anything, it'd be on a higher priority than most of the others as you still care about wanting it done instead of mostly everyone else who just leaves a request and then buggers off, never to be seen again.

Yeah I just lurk mostly because I have little-to-nothing worthwhile to contribute. But I still do care about your Pokemon ports very much. Sorry if I haven't said anything for a while.

Can't really blame them though can you? They're probably just waiting patiently. I certainly never bugged you about any of the requests I made because it'd be impolite of me to do so. I know you and Apoc have a lot on your plates right now and I'm sure you have your reasons for going so slowly on all your projects. I do have to say that the number of people with good netiquette on the issue does seem to be a biiiit surprising to me, who knows for certain?

I care about them too! After all, I was the one who requested Charizard and Blastoise, and what did you do? You threw in Venusaur as a bonus!
If I never thanked you before, I'm sorry, and thank you!

That's what I'm doing. I requested Viktini awhile back and I didn't want to bother him for it as there are no decent models for it yet.
Because of how badly Gmod has been running recently, I've only had the chance to play with four of the models.
While these affirmations are exactly what I mean, I suppose it is easier to do things with a general idea of which order to do them in...
I came back to Zangoose this week and finished rigging the mesh as well as making some final adjustments to the shape of the face and eyes:

Now I'm going try about bringing a ragdoll into Gmod then start reapplying the UVW maps.
e: Also if anyone wants a super lanky Mewtwo I'm just about to start rigging that.

Eh, not unless you can somehow make it into a Mega Mewtwo. The Mega Mewtwo Y on the workshop isn't exactly properly rigged after all...
It might go to that point. I'm making this anyway, and I'm just putting it out there.
Hey, about that Tyranitar... Think someone could edit it and make a mecha version of it too from BW2?
I wonder if it's possible at all to use the Mixamo.com auto-rigging on at least a few of the PBR models? I know they don't do quadrupeds yet, but some of the more humanshape Pokemon, maybe...
So despite Project M being available since the past December, I only now managed to actually apply it to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. (Weird stuff was keeping me from actually making it work.) This community patching seemed to change a thing or two, and add stuff as well. It's kind of weird-looking, but some of the stuff they did was actually pretty cool. I actually started to enjoy playing as Lucario.
Anyway, they added two "new" characters to the roster, and one was Mewtwo. I wasn't sure if the inclusion just used the old Melee model when I heard about it, but a closer look doesn't seem to suggest that. Either way, it's pretty nice-looking.

(There's also a model of Mewtwo with that "armor" from the first movie, in two colors.)
A little while ago I also tried to see if the Project M files had that model viewable anywhere, so I looked for BrawlBox and haphazardly skimmed through some files. Eventually I figured out how to view its animations and sort out its skins, though the most normal-looking I could view it was with the pained expression for eyes. I don't think the mouth moves, however.

It is fairly impressive, and I'm a little surprised that it hasn't been ported by anyone yet. There's probably a reason I'm not aware of, considering I'm not that well-versed in the process, but...
I guess I'm requesting the model to be ported, if it's possible.
If it is the version from melee, it's because the graphics are outdated I would imagine.
If it is the version from melee, it's because the graphics are outdated I would imagine.
It's actually a custom-made model if I remember correctly. I would probably work on it, but there's kind of a catch with the models I port. I only work on custom model ports if the modellers themselves ask me to port it to Garry's Mod (like Peardian and Nibroc.Rock, for instance). I don't really want to be one of those guys who ports custom models without permission, which in most cases would make the original modeller angry. Or at least it does for certain members in the MMD or XNALara communities (from what I've heard). Hopefully you understand.
(Although that makes me a bit of a hypocrite considering I never ask the original companies like Nintendo if I can use their models, it's just a custom-modelling moral code I've got.)
You could always just ask.
It looks more like a heavily modified version of the Nintendo model to me, whatever you'd class that as. Biggest change being replacing the abdomen with a squeezed cylinder and modelling the tail division as slightly extruded piece.

The new model makes Mewtwo look anorexic.

Better than making it look like it has fat chicken legs, if you ask me. :v:
I like the general design but not the fact he's clearly sized in line with the RBY/GSC-era official art and sprites rather than the much taller design used for the movie and later game art. Which is probably why I made my own which combines the two (XY appears to still work from the Pokedex 3D Pro model which is based off the older animation look if you're a turbonerd who cares about that stuff)
btw I very nearly actually finished this finally for like the sixth time, just gotta do the extra eyes and mouth textures.
I don't have the slightest clue how to import mesh with a skeleton into gmod so I guess I won't be doing that anymore, thx.

A lot of the Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon use their Stadium/2 animation, but with updated models.
Yeah it's a collaborative work between the Game Freak staff and Creatures Inc's art teams. I can't really begrudge them for not updating Mewtwo's model to match Sugimori's artwork instead of making new Pokemon models and new animations for the ones that really need it (Blaziken's stance in PBR was crazy lol)
They're still much higher quality than previous titles - 3DS hacker Smealum posted some insight on Twitter into converting 3D models from memory dumps of the game (the scripts aren't public yet and he's stated he's not interested in converting the skeletal data for the Pokemon-specific model format) and has a picture of the vertices in Pansear's model, there's clearly a lot more edge loops and modelled details than the one in Pokepark Wii.
I'm pretty sure the 3DS has a better GPU than the Wii(aside from 3D capacity of course) so that's not too surprising.
I still don't get why a lot of games use PS2-like models for 3DS games. If you look at XY, you can see how high quality models can be.

How do those look like beaks?! Still look like rodents to me. Especially the one on our right.
