Got some WIP work on Lizard as well.
Got the raw tiles of the overprints ready for vectorization. Found the resources through Vonstuck's site.
I'll once again leave the resources here, see what you can do with them.
By my understanding, "red" is the red overprint on all pattern marked with 1, and it's green in 2. The "green" patterns are the green overprints in 1 and red in 2. These change, while "red" is apparently always the same.

You might recognize the pattern shape.
So... there's this anime that features the JSDF, and the deployed characters are using this fictional (AFAIK) woodland AO pattern called Type 4. It looks pretty simple, and I just guess that it's a random pattern that the artists for the show came up with.
Here are some reference pics for whoever wants to make this.

Looks like the Russian Flora but faded. Else, a plain OD uniform for teh color blind.
It's anime-only. Simple shades-of-green splinter.
Manga used jieitai flecktarn.

What kind of shit is that, i'll never understand how anime works
I'd imagine they went for a much more simplified pattern due to how much of a pain in the arse Jietai would've been to animate.
I'd also guess that a bonus of having such a subdued pattern is that you can probably make background characters just flat OD and not have to bother with the other tone.
I was refeering the actual enormous character proprotions that animes have, but now that you mention it too...

The studio responsible for the adaptation isn't exactly well known for top tier, non-lazy animation. Anything they can do to save having to actually bother animating something in a particular show, they'll do.
This camo in distance would basically be as effective as OD.

It's not as if they'd need to conceal against snipers, now is it?

That character is noted for being especially buxom in the story (and it's very much played for laughs in the manga).
Some weird camo here.. from the pelepine police.

There's more than enough material to reconstruct the pattern.
Just look at that leaf structure. It's repeated six times in that image. The tile has a diagonal repeat, so one could easily edit out the buttons and the site banner from this.
I'm only concerned by the colors in the image. Compression makes the edges VERY blurry.
here's an unvectorized/messy tile

Good eye bro.. :)
Here is a close up of the pattern. I wish I can find the fabric of this.

Pardon me Tounushi, you said you were working on another version of tiger stripe aside from the John Wayne dense, i was wondering whatever became of that?

@Tounushi
If you were to create TRU-SPEC's John Wayne Dense version jungle version, please do post it.
Otherwise, great work!

Isn't the TruSpec pattern its own thing? It's kind of like an amalgam of JWD and Tadpole Dense.
tru-spec uses these guys shit

its pretty much their own pattern and color way, and it has a "tiger stripe products" watermark embedded into the pattern

Fictional, Original, Tigerstripe "Metal Gear Desert"
if the tones aren't correct, try playing with the hue or color balance in Photoshop :)
Two camos I've looked through this thread and havent found examples of are the "wetwork" and "Water" camo from metal gear solid

"wetwork" is from MGSV and is used in swamp environments. A few camos seemed similar but nothing I saw was exactly like it

"water" is from MGS3. According to the wiki it was worn by the German Defense force

Can't make out Wetwork.
But it might be the same as Wetland:

In which case it's a simplified Multicam.
"Water" would suggest Tan and Water, but it looks nothing like it. Closer to a mix between Duck Hunter and Butan, not sumpfmuster.

Got Rock reconstructed quickly. Tile size estimated to be 75cm.
I've made some subtle modifications to the regular CADPAT.
I'm not really sure how good it is, but hopefully it will be of some use.

I stumbled upon the US patent office when looking for camos. Some of these are quite interesting, including a 1933 German jigsaw splinter that uses a core set of shapes but with six possible color combinations.
I've jumped on this one document from 2000 where the patent filer created about a dozen patterns. Some of them are ho-hum pixel patterns, but a few are quite interesting. One especially seems pretty cool.
They're rather easy to vectorize, so I'll do those and post them.
Can anyone find/make the Ukrainian digital pattern?

I would like to see this too if possible. It should be the standard issue camouflage for the Ukranian army since last year.
