I've started working on Alpenflage. Going to take a long time, the pattern is huge. I've only found a vertical repeat so far. >updated picture
I doubt there is a horizontal repeat at all. All the overprints are very wide patterns. Speaking of which, I've tried reconstructing the pattern that way before. Doesn't work. EACH LAYER must be reconstructed separately. Remember my Zelttarnmuster post.
Jesus sounds really hard.
I made that top Syrian pattern. It tiles top/bottom but not left/right. There are also some random variants here for you guys if you want. Kudos Rusty! :)
>I've tried reconstructing the pattern that way before. Doesn't work. Yeah I've already started running into problems. I have a few of the ponchos on the way, they have large unbroken patterns, hoping that will give me an edge.

You just need to skew the pattern a bit. The pattern uses a diagonal repeat. Nothing new. I've posted pattern tiles like that, just with double width for easier tiling. Just pick a shape, figure out where the pattern repeat ends, crop the pattern and then skew it to fit it. Black is easiest, since it's the boldest and on top, but you'll have to use all available material to figure out red and green and perhaps even the base. Here's what I've gotten thus far on that front: [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/Swiss%201955%20leibermuster%20-layer%20black_zpsahsp6kpw.png[/t] [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/Swiss%201955%20leibermuster%20-layer%20green_zps9vtuin5x.png[/t] [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/Swiss%201955%20leibermuster%20-layer%20red_zpszp4ccft3.png[/t]
Here's my PH Marines digital jacket. I've yet to buy another yard of fabric of this to figure out the exact pattern copy.
VC Trading?..
It's located at Cubao, Quezon City... On Farmers' Plaza, 2nd floor. Just check their Facebook page though: https://www.facebook.com/vctradingcubao
@Rico Thanks bro for the tip! All of my fabric purchases are sought in divisoria manila. I can't seem to find the vietnam Tigerstripes there. Mostly JWD copies but not the south vietnam marine corps type like what the MNLF/MILF wear here.. hehehe :p OT: I've read your blog about buying military stuff around the metro manila areas. Quiapo seems the best to me to purchase most of my military items. Dau Pampanga is very far and tiresome to visit.
@Rico Mostly JWD copies but not the south vietnam marine corps type like what the MNLF/MILF wear here..
I'm guessing your authorities have a merry time pounding them MILFs, right? HE HE HE
@Tou The government here is fucked up just like any other country.. well maybe REALLY fucked up in our case. @Rico Here's the ROK Granite B camo. It probably does look like our own copy of the marines digital.. hehehe :p But Russia's Spekter one looks abit more likely than the ROK.
A 30rd mag for an M14... Never seen those. Dafuq is that sniper rifle supposed to be, though? Looks like something out of F.A.O. Schwarz! The camo looks like a generic commercial Tigerstripe.
@Tou That sniper you are referring to is a locally made barret m82 sniper rifle. You'd be surprised how the locals here Mcgyver and jerryrig things into better improvised items. OT: Watch this if you'd like.. from VICE. https://youtube.com/watch?v=cOndtUcRXdU
Anybody who knows what camouflage this is?
looks like a do-it-yourself spray paint P42 camo
Essentially, it's known as Swamp Camo according to Star Wars. It's real name, I don't know.

@QQ I'd be happy to ship it to you if I was back in Kalifornia though. Try craigslist. There might be some flip selling PH military gear
Can someone make some Ghost-ex (alpha-3 or hotel-3 preferably) and Optifade camos?
i found some of rare and kind of weird camouflage pattern in old time South Korea. it calls "Yu-Shin bok(유신복, "Revitalizing Reforms Uniform")". a camo only wearing Capital Garrison Command(current name Capital Defense Command) soldiers and officers.(1970's~1980's) pretty weird pattern, isn't it? well, as you see there is no camouflage purpose. that time was military autocracy age, so just fear some Citizens and student who against their rules. point of this pattern is "turtleshell". as you see there is lots of turtleshell hexagons. (green+black exterior line, and dark purple(i guess)+red exterior line)
Know anywhere I can obtain PH Marine Digital stuff and gear?
It's only available here in the Philippines and the law restricts any civilian buying military uniforms who are not affiliated to the reserve force. I am just in the Army Reserve Command, though, but I am not quite interested with the Marine Corps digital BDA. Just some tip: You can buy it near military installations (Fort Bonifacio, Camp Aguinaldo, and the like) and inside Marine Barracks Rudiano Brown (just in front of Bonifacio Naval Station) @Rilsky What I am saying is... The PMC Digital pattern is somewhat like ROK Army Granite B pattern (in terms of it looks) but altered to tropical setting... on the other hand, Spekter-S is closest to PMC's because of its color schematics.
Buying those uniforms nearby a military base w/o an ID is a no no. Mehehehe.
here is another Republic of Korea rare pattern. this one is non-military. its wearing to Mountain Public Interest Service Personnel only 1990's. im just saying. Here's some of my n00bish crafted kamo's from a pattern set. Scaled down to 75%. Mehehehe :p PH Scout Ranger Digital Black PH Bureau of Fire Protection SRU PH Marines Digital PH NAVSOG PH SF-R (Airborne)
