Dyed DPM?
Got some material on Rauchtarn to go on. The overprint at least seems to have some manner of repeat. Does anyone have good material on the pattern? Trying to reconstruct the overprint and the base pattern (which MIGHT be the same pattern as on Platanenmuster). Here's as far as I've gotten with the overprint. [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/German%20Rauchtarn%20overprint_zpsny7f6rz7.png[/t]
@Nightmare515 That is dyed indeed.. RIT dye ftw! :p
Dyed DPM?
I've had something like that sitting around on my external HDD for a while now, thought I might share it: [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/e3e6/ddb09pf5e7dx0dkzg.jpg[/img_thumb] EDIT: I'm also gonna drop off these two other DPM recolours - one imitating the (rather colourful) pattern used with Osprey MKIII and some PLCE sets during the PECOC programme (as well as various load-bearing items developed specifically for that programme), and one based on the old 4-colour version of Desert DPM: [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/272a/p21htt12h2wrbazzg.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/78b2/3o2pe1827ojetmzzg.jpg[/img_thumb]
Thing with PECOC is that it isn't a DPM94. It uses the same shapes, but it isn't the same pattern. I haven't had enough material to fully reconstruct it. [editline]24th July 2016[/editline] DPM94 in PECOC colors [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/DPM94%20PECOC_zpsp11kcsaf.png[/t] [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/DPM94%20PECOC%20desert_zpsqnypfo05.png[/t]
Thing with PECOC is that it isn't a DPM94
Does this also resemble PECOC and not DPM?
Does this also resemble PECOC and not DPM?
That's pretty much a standard DPM colour palette, but with a darker and more purplish shade of brown. The shades of green and tan used are also darker than average. Three more DPM variants, by the way: a somewhat decent stab at the British 'tropical' pattern which is basically temperate DPM but with a brighter and more saturated colour palette (NZ DPM also has/had a bright colour palette), a (ghastly-looking) blue two-tone pattern used by police recruits at the Academy of Saad Al-Abdullah in Kuwait (See it in use here and here), and lastly a fictional variant which uses the colour palette from the 'Children of Men' DPM/ACU hybrid: [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/8f82/csu2a66tacpd1amzg.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/61f0/ln4oqz3768alwm7zg.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/89e2/nuxqqq7i73ana6mzg.jpg[/img_thumb] [editline]24th July 2016[/editline] I'm also gonna draw attention to the 1960 and 1968 versions of DPM if anyone just so happens to be interested in recreating them. The former has green edging around the green and brown shapes on the pattern, while the latter only has that edging for the green shapes:
That's pretty much a standard DPM colour palette, but with a darker and more purplish shade of brown. The shades of green and tan used are also darker than average.
Thank you for clarifying this. Someone mentioned this was Soldier 2000 pattern.. sure doesn't look like it.
The Camo The North Korean Soldiers Use In Red Dawn (2012) Is Type 07 "Universal"
I've got two candidates of Rauchtarn for vectorization. The left one seems to be a repro, while the pieced together pattern on the right seems to be closer to the authentic article. The colors are by no means correct, as I enhanced them so I could better tell the overprint apart. The pattern repeat seems to be 43cm. [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/German%20Rauchtarn%20overprint_zpsoslrfihj.png[/t] I don't know if they ran different methods of doing the overprint, but looks like I'll have to make two versions with the transparent part: fiddle with opacity and use stippling. The pattern on top of which the overprint is printed is a three-color Eichlaubenmuster, just like with Platanenmuster.
The Camo The North Korean Soldiers Use In Red Dawn (2012) Is Type 07 "Universal"
The occupying force was originally supposed to be China, but they changed it to North Korea at the last minute.
Got the 1930 German shelter-half pattern redone. It's one pattern in six color combinations. Each piece can be linked with another. [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/German%201930%20shelter%20half%20pattern_zpsrccwipqe.png[/t]
Hi, uh, I'm new here. I'd like to request two rather odd camo patterns, if possible. The first one is Argentine patagonic camo: And the second one is Portuguese M63 lizard camo: Thanks!
Thank you for clarifying this. Someone mentioned this was Soldier 2000 pattern.. sure doesn't look like it.
It is called the "Army 2000 Subdued DPM pattern"... the one we use in the Army. Though, you can find relevant images of it on Google. Somewhat similar to PRC's Special Forces DPM pattern.
Here are some old skool DPM from the far east. Finished my project. So as promised here are some Russian Camos I came up with in the process. Russian MVD REED Pattern by Tounushi, recolor by me. [t]http://i63.tinypic.com/2v9agy1.png[/t] Russian VSR variant Pattern by Tounushi, edits and recolor by me [t]http://i66.tinypic.com/20q145e.png[/t] Some I created from scratch. I got an image from the SPLAV website of a desert FSB shirt and copied a portion of the pattern directly to a texture sheet. One has colors based on that desert FSB shirt, and the other default FSB colors. Russian FSB border guard imitation... pattern by me. [t]http://i64.tinypic.com/nvdxe8.png[/t] SPLAV Desert FSB by me. [t]http://i64.tinypic.com/110k9c2.png[/t] And to Tounushi (or anyone else interested)a request ... I came across this Russian pattern and was wondering if anyone would like to take a stab at creating a solid sheet on it. Russian Cyfra.. [t]http://i65.tinypic.com/8ydg6s.jpg[/t] The below image is a comparison of Russian Cyfra vs USMC Woodland Marpat. [t]http://i63.tinypic.com/2rm06xl.jpg[/t] [t]http://i63.tinypic.com/2jeqlgj.jpg[/t]
Got some recolored (and hopefully finally correctly sized) SS-Eichenlaubmuster. The recolors are used with Platanenmuster and Rauchtarn. Still working on Rauchtarn and trying to figure out a tiling Platanenmuster overprint. [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/SS%20base%20pattern%20summer_zpslngwrtne.png[/t] [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/SS%20base%20pattern%20autumn_zpscz0fuxxj.png[/t] [editline]30th July 2016[/editline] Whipped up some alt-history camos. I call the pattern SS-46. Well, technically it's Splitter-45 because that's the overprint, but it's over the previously completed base patterns. Got summer and autumn versions. I think it looks cool :) [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/SS-46%20Summer_zpshjkqxhbs.png[/t] [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/SS-46%20autumn_zps3wvauxom.png[/t] Had to tweak with the sizing of the pattern for it to tile, but if you're more of a stickler for detail, you could use the three-color SS-Eichen and the Splitter-45 overprint as separate layers.
[t]http://i65.tinypic.com/8ydg6s.jpg[/t]
Full tile in picture. Diagonal repeat. Easy to make the raw tile. Time-consuming to make a vector.
Full tile in picture. Diagonal repeat. Easy to make the raw tile. Time-consuming to make a vector.
Whichever you feel like doing. Raw tile would be great.
got the raw tile. It tiles diagonally on the horizontal. [t]http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o37/TKB1/facepunch%20forums%20skin%20resources/Commercial%20digital%20Sufra_zpstfjkyhta.png[/t]
Thanks!

Hello! Can someone do the new hungarian camo? Currently I don't have pc to do it. Thank you! :) http://imgur.com/a/RAzKh
I tried to make it on my phone. What do you think? Good for one?
Wow this shit looks much better than the US colours.
Hey everyone. Love all the camos you guys have put up. But may I put in a request? If so could someone try to make a Digital Multicam and Multicam Tropic. Just a digital camouflage but with the colors of Multicam and Multicam Tropic. Please. And thank you. I think it would look awesome.
