Are you supposed to not be able to jump over the fences? I can only get to the other side by walking, and then I can't reach anyplace else.

You could get the effect of the blue shadows from the trailer with light_environment.

I will be going with cubemapped reflections for the windows. The material on that prominent side of the cube is the same as the one being used as a decal in the second image. Yet only the first is reflecting the cubemap. Why is this? This project seems to be going pretty damn well. You just need to have the correct lighting. It doesn't seem like what the sunny Mirror's Edge is, it seems so gray at the moment.

Hold on a sec, in TF2 the bottle breaking is just a change of skin right? As is the changing of the team colour for the CPs. Couldn't you just make a model and change its skin?

After this is done I think I will take a look at another engine to play around with.

It's looking good so far, though [url=http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/3751/vlcsnap49114mh9.png]the shadows need to be a bit blue[/url]... I can think of a pretty easy way of achieving this though. Check out [url=http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Blendmodulate]$lightwarptexture[/url] since that'll do it quite nicely.

As I previously said it looks bloody good, however it's not... it's not shiny or bright enough. You really need bright blue for the solar panels and seriously bright white instead of a dullish white. Oh, and a better skybox. Still looks bloody good though but I seriously suggest working on them. It still has that Half-Life 2 nitty-gritty feel to it.
i think i found something when i played on your beta mod i walked foward and turned around and went back to the start then it crashed.

I guess it's pretty good, but you just got a combination of parts from the first level. Are you actually going to re map the entire game?

If I did and then the Pc version came out there would be trouble with copyrights. It will only be this area of the first level 'Flight'. Unless something changes my mind later on. As for "but you just got a combination of parts from the first level". This is a section of the level not different bits put together.
The map is very nice and everything, but this mod is totally and completely pointless. If released, you will most likely receive a cease and desist letter from EA. Other than that, I'm sorry to say it, but you mod will be knowhere near as good as mirrors edge itself. Source just can't pump out the same visuals and mechanics. And you don't have hundreds of paid employees at your dispense. Consider just making a series of Gmod mirrors edge maps. For comics, and general playing. If you are already doing that, then consider adding this to the mapping section.

What I have done here is create something that can show my own skill at putting together a map/game, not to hash over the actual game. Also, I will not be putting together a way of climbing/ducking. Because I cannot. If someone else out there can do this and would like too, they can contact me via PM.
