I'm getting a right strange error on this map

Also i get this error on gm_ship as well
If it's in gm_ship aswell it's caused by something else than this map.
Then what could it be ?
The gm_ship thread is very old and i don't want to bump it , i've pmed the author of that map as well

NO! I only give the VMF to some people so they can study it, not that people would make their own versions of the map. I am already working on a new forest map, to be released on the Q4 period. It will have 3d sky and all the other stuff.

This map I prefer played in GMod, though it is actually Ep2 map. But what can you do in it in Ep2, other than explore?

Just the basic Garry's Mod bloom effects and else. I've never managed to do a good HDR lightning, it makes the compiling process too long and makes the performance much worse. I want this map to be playable with some older tech.

From a purely geological standpoint, it's missing quite a bit of underbrush..
It's a wonderful map, but it's very thin in terms of vegetation. :( It just doesn't... convince me that I'm outside, like de_forest does.
De_forest, for me, still has it's occasional graphical errors, but it's still a grand example of what an out-door, forested map can be.
Don't get me wrong, though! I still greatly enjoy your map!

I understand that, but de_forest is in no way a large, open forest. It's more of a linear map, and with a plan of detonating bombs. It is heavily optimized and there isn't so much free space.
The gm_forest series try to have a very large forest environment with a good framerates with even lower-tech cards. The next map is on the works, but that is all I can tell at the moment.

I truly suck when it comes to downloads, where do I put this for it to work?
You put it in your maps folder like C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Your steam name here\garrysmod\garrysmod\maps

Only the BSP file goes to maps. The other things like the directory called "settings" go to the garrysmod/garrysmod folder.

Yeah, what he said. It's a great map overall, but I have a bunch of errors everywhere. Is it because I don't have EP2? I think that's it.

There's a fix on gmod.org. I think Life Support is causing it.
I would be interested in downloading the previous ones because the screens look awesome. Especially the original forest, those screens give me that good ol' Crysis-graphics vibe. But this sunlight looks less like sunlight and more like fullbright. It also looks more like it's just scattered tress on a bumby displacement than those other maps screens do. Fix those things (i.e. take interesting screens) and you're set for a success.
Also, why the hell is it not an add-on? It takes five seconds to write an info.txt, but you didn't.

Day/Night stuff makes the map lag really much, and I still use the good old nVidia 6800GT with AMD Athlon 3000+ :D
The next map has been on the works but I have a life and other stuff to do. But it will be out in 2008. It is going to be nighttime...and you will find out about it in Halloween :D

Dude... that is just impossible. I cannot make a day/night cycle without it being really lagful. There is that LUA script which does changing the environment lighting, but it is the lagging one and it has no dynamic shadows. Which would by the way make it even more lagging.
But you definetly don't know about mapping :/
