Quite a few Jokerice members are posting and I dont think they know the truth about Pridit and he probably made a whole dramatical scene when he left. For example when me and Tapola were cleaning out the garbage bin today we found e.g. this:

You are confusing necessary and optional conditions. A good site is the necessary bit, the asp.net bit is optional seeing as it doesn't need to be in asp.net to be good, and I'm not sure why you are milking it as such a great thing, so I ignored it. The community here is more than sufficient for anyone I would have thought. There are a wide range of mappers of all abilities, asking questions finding new information, solving problems and giving critique. Backed up by an excellent moderation team and a generally friendly (unless you're being an idiot) atmosphere I still can't think of a reason why a haphazard group of low-grade mappers churning out maps for a site that won't be seen by anyone outside of their clan is better.

It wasnt really personal, as Dominic said - 3 minute Google search. Maybe his forum password - but that was fake anyways: "nicetrydick" - got the original thread. And perhaps it may have been immature or whatever but this was in the past. Things have changed, FH has changed, life goes on.
Also I made a map once, wasnt very good, and as for everything - best method for my learning was just messing around and perhaps a few tutorials explaining what things are. However some people do learn better a different way, and your way isnt nesscarily always the best way for everyone. A majority of FH Mappers do prefer to learn via messing around and reading tutorials and some teach each other, however the point of all everyone being there is just a nice friendly group that can help each other out via e.g. all creating a map together.
For example the hive map had the admin room done by BlackOps - which was then imported and added to the map. Plus other mappers, like Sl!P, would redo the lighting because they were better and would provide tips. The rest of the map - ask the mappers themselves (it was a long time ago and thats all I can remember).
The idea behind the group is to just have a small friendly community that has its own server to test maps, allows people to quickly ask each other and if they ask any stupid questions on the forums, they don't get banned and we just set it aside (however if they post a lot of silly/stupid questions, we will point them in the direction of Google - however I've never had to do that). Plus theres also an ftp server for mappers to easily exchange files without wasting time with e.g. Garrysmod.org and torrents.
For example: Facepunch is a good forum, has good moderators etc and good people. However the FH Forums are good too, good moderation and its not an overly strict place. Plus theres options that Facepunch cant provide such as a server for people to test their maps and for other mappers to join and find problems. Plus Facepunch doesnt offer a free ftp service to easily allow exchange of files as quickly as possible via simply drag and drop.
Perhaps FH has had some downsides, every community does. However FH Mappers is completely independent of FH and if you are that worried about your forums password - just use a completely new random one. If you dont wish to join or you arent interested - then dont post. This thread isnt about FH's past, this is about FH Mappers and their future.

I did read the thread that his information was posted in. Pridit tried to change his password before abusing, but you apparently managed to get a hold of his original password. Which was used to get on for example JokerIce, I doubt he used "nicetrydick" as a password for the JI forums.

I tried another way to stop mass RDM rather than kicking everyone involved which at the time was nearly everyone there and I was never aware your server could'nt handle a few smoke grenades, I thought if you could afford a 3TB database was it? You would be able to handle a few smoke grenades but it seemed with about three smoke grenades the server began to lag in that specific area, so obviously not.
I said "wow its only smoke gee" because he was going to have a hissy fit because I threw some smoke that caused a little bit of lag that probably never even affected him, only those who were in it mass RDMing. I said "And nick you never even saw so stfu" because he threatend to report me for just trying to calm down a mass RDM situation. So basically, how was that abuse?

And I changed my password to "nicetrydick" because it was obvious that you was going to try and get revenge so I thought this would mearly slow you down whilst I had chance to change some passwords otherwise now my facepunch account would be filled with four year old kids spamming porn. At the time I was not quick enough to change some passwords and I remember my xfire page filled with immature comments like "i'm gay, i'm a fag" so on and so fourth, one of my forum accounts on another forum was also banned and the reason was spamming I think then I noticed on my page they changed my sexuality to homosexual, what a great community intended to ruin other people's internet experience no idea what other accounts may have been affected by this as I've registered in several places.
You've changed so have I, change the topic back to your little mapping tea party and let's try to act mature.
One last thing: it wasnt the case of the servers lagging because smoke was clientside - it was the case of players with PCs not as good lagging out like hell - people like Fragger. But yeah - shit happens.
