People don't need to decompile your map to steal it and take credit. I've seen people download a map, pakrat the militia skybox into it, then re-release it as a fixed version for people without CS:S.

That's just some bullshit system of entities placed in the map that can be removed. I say decompile (or entspy) the map and re-release it just to spite them, creating a server only map is fuckin retarded.

It's not going to impress anyone.
It doesn't require anything special, all you need to do is click on something to run a program.
There are ways of getting around this. I used one (and I will not tell you, hell all I was interested in was finding out how they did it) to look at their "protection."
Frankly all they did was use a few server commands to crash whatever server after humiliating the map user.

Admittedly, I'm a little lost on why you'd want to make a map private, unless it's still in development or whatever. Eh, I guess I'm too communistic to understand.

if you can't handle people decompiling your maps then i suggest you find a new hobby.
learn to accept the fact that there is no way to protect your map from being decompiled.
Well, tried the map. Honestly it's somewhat lackluster, the only things added to it were a couple turntables on the surface, a freight elevator from the rocket silo to the surface (but it wasn't like the DIY elevator, which sucks), some more tracks, and a pointless dead-end in the same system. Yes, being able to crash into a bunch of prop_statics at the end is so very fun.
In short, I'm not sure this map is really even worth your time.
I love that they put in a script saying "WE ARE FUCKING STEALERS THIS MAP IS ONLY FOR WIREMODRU" when they stole it in the first place and claimed it as their own.

I have nothing to do with it, but I can say that it's protected via damaged map data. I'm not sure what they did exactly, but adding degenerate faces to the final map, removing vertexes that are used by brushes, stuff like that tends to crash the engine and decompile tools.
Everyone who ever talked to me knows that I give out map and map sources by request, but I must admit watching this was kinda amusing
