That's part of what good mapping is: when you can be inspired by a location, to want to explore it, and dig deeper. OP, this is what you want people to say about yours.

Take a look at the picture I quoted: see how the geometry of the map is interesting, even without the textures? Look at the curvature of the hallway, the hanging sculptures on the ceiling, the large, curved window with the pillars supporting it, and the dominating cityscape outside the building. Even if the maker of the map had only the most basic of textures, I'd still be intrigued, because their map shows some depth and detail that makes me want to explore the world that they've created. The texture sheets they use are just icing on the cake: they add visual interest, but even if they weren't there it would still be interesting. A box with a door is still going to look like a box with a door, even if it has extremely High-res textures.
