So am I being disqualified still? I think it's pretty unfair to say "oh well you are late but we'll accept you anyway", even though I was not late, then say "nope we were just kidding, you were late so you are disqualified now". If this is any indication of how future contests will be I doubt I'll enter any more.

Ah well at least the raging thread author has calmed down for 12 hours.

They should've been disqualified from the beginning, if they were to be disqualified. the votes they got could've affected the winner between the others.

There's not really a specific rule for that, but it's just wrong to do on any poll... A fair way is to show the thread to friends, and tell them not to vote in a biased manner (assuming they did, no offense to them)

Suddenly removing him now is like removing 53 peoples votes out of the whole process.Those votes could go to anyone. Anyone could be the winner. This whole thing is now out the window- again, and I am personally not interested in seeing a version 3 of this thread. There is a prize reward involved, it should have planned this out better to make sure this would not happen because now it just looks like someone is playing favourites and cutting people. And. Fantastic job everyone who made something for this contest. This has to be the most entries for a contest in months. I hope the next has just as many.
