Ned, is the texture animated? And what kind of impact is it with bullets?
I know, I changed it around a bit too. Changed some speeds and scales. That right there is a func_brush with Rendermode set to Additive.
Wouldn't look so bad if there was lighting and somehting other then a grey wall behind it.

Void: Yes it is animated, I just used the awe_water or whatever.
Mine has glass impact effects, can change it though.
Minor Derail: Does the creator mind if I use the texture in a TF2 map? I will give full credit.
If you use it in a TF2 map you probably wanna reduce the number of frames in the VTF, it's got like 50, don't need that many.
Also I'm Curious: How did you generate the animated bubbles? Was it a plugin for something?

The ceiling is far too low, take a look at the roomy and spacious rooms in Bioshock. The stone walls don't really fit, find/make a brass texture or use wallpapers.
You're overusing the blue neon as well, use it to give highlights, not to light whole rooms.

It's actually a particle system that I made in the particle editor.

I had a feeling that the ceiling was too low. I'm in the process of making new textures as well. I'll tone down on the neon.

I'm actually aiming to get some stuff out for play-testing (Bathybox Metro System?) because I'm not sure if the mechanics of it will work. I also don't have a very "good" video card, if you can call it that (Intel X3100), so the map will be optimized so I get 30+ FPS. So if I can get that, anyone can. I don't really want to build a ton of hype, and not live up to expectations.
Everything looks great. Even though you have a mediocre graphics card. (And the same as me ;). But every time i use your vtf for refraction, i get a square texture. Can i see your most recent vtf?
Wait... if combined with water that is accessible by the player, will it be possible to make something like a glass pool?

You should try to get the big statue and banner from the beggining that says "NO GODS OR KINGS ONLY MAN" in some kind of spawn room.
Will I need episode 2 to run this map? If so that's gonna be an issue.

Copied the files over to the game you're testing the map in?

Stupid question here, but where do i extract the water texture to to be able to use it?
Give me the exact path that the .vtf and .vmt are in, post the contents of the VMT, make sure you can open the .VTF in VTFEdit.

If the materials and/or nature folder doesn't exist, make it.
