First off. i wish to say i love this map. and the easter egg is one of the best egg's in any map ive played. its pretty much another map within.
it also has everything that makes a build map good.
displaced terrain(hills)
water.
gigantic 3d skybox.
gigantic worldspace.
great ambient feel.
very little lag( i was suprised how such a large map had so little map lag)
but i have one issue that i wish to get confirmation on.
i was hosting this map as the default map on my server. but i ran into quite a large issue.
it is very crash prone with gcombat fire.
it is not joincrashing im having an issue with. its when a projectile hits a wall or world brush. and sometimes just random firing causes crashes.
and i can confirm it is specifically the map. where as i can run this map for around 30 minutes with moderate gcombat exchange before a crash. the other maps we run can run continuously without issue.
so i just wish to either get confirmation from another server host that this is indeed an issue or from the map's author.
anyways great map. keep up the epic work

Looks like a nice map, but I'd prefer it without buildings (They look rather blocky and out of place). Would make a perfect wide open wilderness map.

It's the 3d skybox that gives the feeling of it being insanely big.
I really liked this map, especially [sp]the gnomes' cave[/sp]. Can you make an entire map with this easter egg's style? It looked like a great stranded style area.

I tried the map with sakarias planes and it crashed aftter some missiles, a friend also complained about the same thing.
a shame... this maps is pretty sweet but something is obviously wrong.
Yeah, great map. I could barely handle the map, and crashed a couple of times when spawning stuff. overflow in rendering too.
However, I have a request for you:
Minimize this. Make it smaller, but still with a small flat area, hills, water, taller hills, and some buildings. Then call it gm_hillgrass_mini (or something like that). That seems like something people with lower-end computers could handle much better.
Great map! But,can maybe you give us hints to the easter egg?
I noticed that many people get crashes. I get some my self when trying to noclip outside the map. I tryed to fix this by placing a trigger_teleport all around the map but as i can see it didn't help. I checked map for more problems but none where found. If someone knows whats the problem PM me.
Also thanks for all the downloads ! I never fought that my map could go so high xD
I finally got around to exploring the WHOLE MAP.
Easter egg made me laugh and think of GM_Atomic's,
It's nice, but again, I think you should make a more CPU-Friendly map, a minimized version with a small lake with a small hill and small buildings. In comparison of course, not really small small

I could make a smaller version but i would have to redo the skybox which would make me go crazy.
I don't really need a skybox, just the map part and a sky texture, like gm_construct. All I want is the great hill + building features you put into this, as well as the lake.
If you don't want to, that's okay, just a suggestion.

I don't think that's the problem... i believe your map is almost touching the Source limit, you probably made too close to the grid end.
Solution ? make a smaller version and remove the 3d skybox or put it under the map, perhaps the map is too tall ? i never really tried to reach the skybox.
I'm not any mapping expert but that's my guess, i could try to decompile it some time to make further investigations.
A river in addition to the lake would be great, because I find this map good for boat building.

My main love of this map is its the TALLEST damn map Ive ever played on.
Which is amazing for a lot of things!
