I predict lots of useless ledges exactly 64 units high forcing crouch-jump, and the useful ledges 65 units...

I'm going to make a crap map even if I can't enter
Personally, I think this is going to be the most challenging competition ever. I don't think the winner should be the most clusterfucked map, but maybe something that looks like they've put a lot of thought into making it bad. Things like horrid gameplay, but still somewhat fun. The maps that just spam random textures and entities shouldn't be considered in my opinion as they aren't that good.

I tried to start on this but found my initial ideas all turning to weird abstract pieces.
Yeah, you guys need to put more effort in making a bad map. Lol, that's sounds so ironic. I really liked the maps in CheckerBoard hopes, maybe you can get some inspiration from there? xD
I have a nice map underway right now. Should be great once I get the cinematic physics sorted.

someone should just make the map a big block then shape it into a map with the carving tool :v:

I think everyone is going about this the wrong way, a bad map doesn't have to be badly made, it could be really detrimental to gameplay, frustrate the player with map mechanics and annoy the player with unrealistic, but not plain ugly brushwork and texturing. I think to make a truly bad map , well, is the real challenge, and nobody has really shown much promise in that respect yet.

I was meant to post this ages ago but you can't create the worst maps by trying to make a bad map. It will end up sucking at badness, if you catch my drift. The worst maps are always pure of spirit and made with blissful ignorance.
My map has hallways 1 unit shorter than the minimum standing height. doors are just func_illusionary brushes at the end of hallways. [IMG]http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/93650025-3.jpg[/IMG] Pictures of the safehouse. It has VAC, so it must be safe.
