I like the grass version a lot better than the desert. You might want to change the color of the displacements to something gray though.

First map?!?! I think it's your 25 map! Because in first day my friend and i create a my apartement! But that(NOT YOUR) map have some glitches...

You make me want to kill myself :( I have been mapping for a year, and this is your first map and it is eight times better than anything I have ever made.

I just built a flat grass and added, and added, and added, and added, and this is what popped out. I hit a lot of errors but got past them, some of them took me a few days of throwing stuff in anger to figure out. And there isn't anything in the map that you can't make with in about 30mins of work. The most complex thing in the map is either a door or the areaportal (the underground base). Other then that it's brushes and diplacements.
This map is very impressive! Me and a friend's server have it on default, it lacks big open plains on the battlefield or suffice space to fly bigger aircraft in though. Other than that, it's a great map!

I did lower it some time ago and can raise it if needed. I also might redo some parts for more open space.
Bigger as in by the X and Y axis, a little bit more on the Z axis perhaps.

If you think you have the time, I would really like a few things added to the map: One very tall mountain with the snow texture at the top, and also a forest with so many trees it's hard to navigate. I would love to build a hidden combine base in the forest, then set traps all over the place, and see who gets caught :lol:. And the mountain would be useful for making gliders, and dropping stuff on people. Possible some more detail to the land. It gets kind of repetitive after a while... But keep up the good work :D. And although I don't know if this would work, as I'm not very good with displacements, is it possible to make a round island, that you can still displace? I think an island in the middle of a lake or something would be cool.

There will be more added, I'm just lazy.

For the main base, is there is there infilitration points? Like ventilation shafts, vulnerabilities. Will make a good map for full fledge wars, with special ops, artillery, maybe assassinations. For a first map, this is godly.

So this may have been brought up before, but the space between the center bridge support and the side of the water seems a little small. What if I wanted to build a bigger ship then that space and send it to the other side? Other than my small complaint, the map looks like it is made of pure win.

Anyway I'm changing this to the EP2 engine cause I finally got unlazy and bought it. Seems ok in hammer, haven't compiled yet though.
I love were this is going, man I can't really belive this is your first map. it's incredible.
